I often hear people talking about advanced settings that are not in the Linux versions with regard to optimizing settings for live music.

Lately I've been hearing buzz about a beta version that promises reduced latency a la Jamulus, Sonobus, Koord, FarPlay, etc. (See the wikipedia list below.) There are a few organizations and individuals that are not tech savvy enough to use anything except Zoom. If they go to a low-latency version and I cannot follow, I'll probably stop using Zoom.

So, don't forget about us Linux users. Thanks.

I have the basic 40 min zoom plan and when I schedule zoom, I do not see the option for people to dial in a number.  Where do I find this to enable this option?

Recieved Email from *********** : Logo's & links look legit

Hi *****

We're reaching out to you as we've determined that your login and password for Zoom may have been compromised on another service. At Zoom, we take extra steps to help prevent compromised credentials from other platforms from being used for your Zoom account.

We recommend you immediately reset your password and enroll in two-factor authentication to further secure your account. If the password for your account has not been reset in the next 24 hours, we will reset your password as a safety measure to prevent any potential unauthorized access to your account.

Why are you receiving this message?
As part of our ongoing security efforts, Zoom takes proactive measures to identify users whose login credentials may have been stolen or compromised in a data breach elsewhere on the Internet, and where the compromised credentials could be used to access a customer's Zoom account. By using unique passwords for different services, you can help reduce the risk of account compromise.

If you are receiving this message, we recommend taking prompt action to reset your password. In addition, you can learn more about setting up two-factor authentication here.

Thank you,
-The Zoom Team

Is this legit, even though 2FA is enabled?

Hello,

We are just switching to using zoom and I have a question about the PMI. We currently use a conference number that clients call into and do not have to put in a meeting number or a passcode. With the switch to zoom, I'm going to use my PMI so it will be the same code. However, the clients that are calling in to this number have low vision or are blind, is there a way to make this easier for the client by having it directly call and enter in the number when they call? Like enter it in as a contact as it will be the same meeting number everytime? Or are they going to have to manually enter in the meeting code every time?

I host most of the Zoom or Teams meetings I attend, and often it's more convenient to not be on-camera.

So, if I choose to NOT enable video when on a call, the default (perhaps only?) option for otherwise identifying oneself on-screen is the Zoom-created black 16:9 box with the username in white. Can I insert an image instead...a .png, .pdf or .jpg instead...one with a headshot and the name against a custom background? This would be an image of the correct pixel count (and what would that be?). Don't laugh...attached here is what I'm thinking.

Thanks!
