I'm a newbie, just getting started.  Want to have just me on the screen presenting instead of me and little boxes of the people attending.  Is it possible?

I've been a long time zoom user as a teacher. I set up lessons one-on-one and have since the pandemic. No problems. Used it yesterday, twice, no problems. Today clicked on my zoom app to set up a lesson and got a screen that said set up an account and download Zoom! I have zoom downloaded. Could not reach anyone at customer service. I do have a pro account. I tried to re-set up an account said you already have an account and then said download new version. I don't have Wi-Fi so will have to go tomorrow and use a free Wi-Fi at library. Any advice or hints when I go to library?  Will downloading the new version make a difference? Why could I use it yesterday and not today? Any help or answers I would greatly appreciate! Thank you very very much.

Where did the recoding of Meeting go?

Hi Guys, I'm new to this, and just held a 2 hour mtg that I recorded on my laptop. Afterwards, it said it needed to be converted, which I allowed it. After that, it picked the file name, I agreed and it disappeared!!!

I work on a Mac, we use Outlook for our email. I have my work email account, and I also have access to the email accounts for our CEOs (through my Outlook, not signing into each one separately; each of the accounts are listed on the left side together, and I just click the one I need to work in). When sending a Zoom meeting invite for one of the CEOs (not to include me in the meeting), I send it from their email account and I add the Zoom meeting through an extension through Outlook. However, the invite email has my email signature and it says the invite is coming from me, but it does not go on my calendar, it is added to their calendar, and they are the host. When a meeting was supposed to start today, they could not get into it, even though they should've been the host. I was on a phone call and couldn't help them at the time, but, I checked my calendar and it wasn't on my calendar, so I wouldn't have been able to start the meeting either. Any advice on what I am doing wrong? Or does anyone have a better way to do this? I am new to Zoom, and using Outlook on a Mac is different than a PC, so I don't know how to resolve this, or how to do it better for next time.

Can't upgrade to Zoom 5.11 on Ubuntu

Starting today (August 24th 2022), when I try and join a meeting on my Ubuntu 22 machine, Zoom says "You need to be 5.11.9 (4300) or higher".  However, I just downloaded the latest .deb file and installed it.

Here are my steps to make sure:

- sudo apt remove zoom

- the /opt/zoom folder is now gone completely

- sudo apt install ./zoom_amd64.deb

- I made sure that zoom_amd64.deb is the file I downloaded today

After I install, if I "cd /opt/zoom", and "cat version.txt", it says 5.11.9.4300

However, when I launch Zoom and go to Help->About , it says 5.10.7 (3311).    When I run "ps -ef | grep zoom", the processes listed are from the /opt/zoom folder.

To summarize:

- removing zoom removes the /opt/zoom folder

- installing zoom creates the /opt/zoom folder and the version.txt in that folder has the correct version

- when I launch zoom, it has the older version number.

- the zoom that launches is from the /opt/zoom folder (not some other location)

So it seems like the installer is wrong or that it's not registering the correct version number.

Anyone have any thoughts on things to try?

Hi

Although I've set my recordings to include Screen share and speaker, I only get the recording of the screen without speaker.
This happens both when I use Cloud Recordings or keep it on my computer.
I've also tried using the presentation as a virtual background.
How can I have the speaker too in the recordings?
Thanks for your help
