Good morning,

I recorded a Zoom session yesterday to the cloud. I do this frequently and it always appears in my recordings, but this one is not showing up. The only possible abnormalities I can think of are:

  • A participant downloaded the chat history at the end of the meeting
  • I used the Zoom for G Suite Add-On to create the meeting. While this often creates a different Zoom room # from my personal, I still get recordings from other sessions created this way.

Any ideas where it could have ended up or why I'm not seeing the recording? I already checked in local recordings and I confirmed with other participants that it was in fact recording.

Thanks.

Hi all,

I have never ending problems with my audio since Zoom changed so many thinks the last month. Automatic noice cancelling etc., etc.

I am useing a lavalier mic for teaching classes and since last week this is not working anymore at all with Zoom. (it works with other programmes so no problem with the mic itself). Everthing was fine till 3 month ago but than Zoom changed something and my voice got cancelled out now and then when there was another sound as well and as I said since last week the mic is not working at all anymore.

Anyone got an idea? Can´t see any options in the settings.

Many thanks

Improving quality of recordings to cloud

We livestream our classes using an ipad and also record them to the cloud.  While our ipad on it's own (outside Zoom) as great resolution and audio, when we go through Zoom, it's grainy and warbly at times.  (It seems like it's worse than it used to be, although we haven't changed anything on our end.)  Does anyone have any  suggestions as to how we might improve this ...?

Hi all, looking for some advice.

I am in the UK, my pc time zone is UTC+00 London. In my zoom account its set to GMT UTC+00 and in zoom meetings it is also set to this.  (anybody know the difference between GMT+00 and GMT UTC+00?)

So, I set a meeting up for 09.30am.  I can see this set at 9.30am when I login. However meetings recipients, whose pcs are set to the same time zone, are seeing the meeting set as 10.30 am, so definitely a time zone issue but we cant work out why, I was thinking maybe something to do with their zoom settings but apparently not...  The weird thing is, when I log into my zoom account on my colleagues laptop its shows as 10.30, even though his laptop time zone settings is the same as mine...

Any advice /insights would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, I recently recorded an instance of possible third party hacking of a Zoom meeting of mine due to recorded voices of third parties making rude comments during a conference call. I have an audio snippets of one the incidents. The third party voice heard in the recording is shouting an expletive (his voice is slightly muffled but he can be heard shouting "WTF?!").  I'm not sure how my meeting was hacked as there were only 2 participants shown in the entire duration of the meeting. I can send the file to an admin via email. Please help me and thank you.

Hacked meetings

Is it possible for someone to bypass the waiting room to get into a meeting? If so, can someone do that without being detected?

Hello ,

I need to share some instructions on chat with participants, then send participants to breakout rooms.

When they enter a breakout room, chat from main room is no longer present (chat is empty).

How to make chat contents (as it were before joining a breakout room) accessible in breakout rooms?

Also tried Broadcast message to all, that's not an alternative.

This isn't mentioned at https://blog.zoom.us/using-zoom-breakout-rooms/

but this other doc https://management.buffalo.edu/content/dam/mgt/Internal/Faculty-Resources/Documents/Zoom-Breakout-Rooms-Limitations-Features.pdf

says "Your chat history follows you. This means while attendees are in a breakout room, they will still
be able to view the chat messages from the main room prior to entering a breakout room. " -- this is what I need, but tested with participants (joined from web browser) and Chat clears when entering breakout.

Thanks!

Hi. How can I share audio on Zoom from one application only? I am hosting an All Hands. The PowerPoint presentation has embedded intro/outro audio tracks. During the presentation, other audio-generating applications will be running on my computer, like Slack. I don't want my Slack notification, Outlook notification, etc. sounds to be heard by the attendees.

Related: Is it finally possible to toggle audio share without stopping/restarting the share? That would be a sort-of acceptable solution, as the notification sounds would only come through during that brief period of time.
