On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

I have Zoom Workspace Pro for up to 1000 participants. I have an already scheduled Zoom (not a webinar) set for Tuesday night with over 700 participants. I cannot find a Q&A button at the bottom of the screen; only the chat button. I have tried the Zoom instructions to go to "Details" but nothing comes up to enable Q&A. Can someone help me?

How do you put in your own zoom background?
It seems to have changed from all the videos on YouTube.
It just shows the zoom backgrounds.  I can't find the button to put my own one in.

Dear People,
After Skype has turned on noise cancellation i am up to try the latest version of Zoom for online guitar lessons.
See that the option is implemented now and happy for that, BUT if i go to the settings tab and turn it on the input level does not register my guitar or a hand clap, while it does my voice.
Anyone has this new function working in Linux?
What am i missing?

Meeting ID not valid--but only for some attendees

Yesterday and the previous time I hosted a meeting, some of my attendees got back to me saying that they couldn't enter because they were getting a message the meeting ID was invalid. But there were many people there, so it was not a universal issue.... Show more

Yesterday and the previous time I hosted a meeting, some of my attendees got back to me saying that they couldn't enter because they were getting a message the meeting ID was invalid. But there were many people there, so it was not a universal issue. 

I usually use a waiting room but didn't this time as I knew some people would join late, so perhaps that's why I haven't encountered this before.

Is there anything I can suggest people do ahead of the next meeting to solve this issue? I'm hosting the same event today! 

I found a post on this issue from 3 years ago. Hopefully it isn't still just a standing issue with zoom that meeting IDs only work sometimes?? (FYI I double checked the ID they were sent and the ID they were using; it was correct).

We have a Zoom account that is used on several workstations at multiple locations by a user depending on where she is at a given time, and recently she's been getting the message shown below when trying to log in. The user doesn't always have access to other devices. Is there a different way for this user to log in or allow the current device? Maybe a one-time code instead? This doesn't work for our user's needs.

EDIT: This support page says "You will need to either approve the current sign-in attempt on a device you are already signed-in to or request a One Time Password to complete the current login process." Our user is not seeing the one-time password option. How do we enable that?

Resolved! Default audio and video optimization ON

There should be an option to have video optimisation and audio set to ON in the settings (in preference settings).

 

I was not able to submit a feature request.

No Audio with Zoom via Firefox ESR browser.

Using an old low spec. laptop running 32bit Debian 12 OS; Zoom app. isn't available. Audio seems to work normally for everything else; with headphones I'd get some broken up audio. Chat GPT's dubious advice led nowhere except that all fairly obvious ... Show more

Using an old low spec. laptop running 32bit Debian 12 OS; Zoom app. isn't available.  Audio seems to work normally for everything else; with headphones I'd get some broken up audio.  Chat GPT's dubious advice led nowhere except that all fairly obvious steps were taken checked e.g. browser permissions; volume showing Zoom audio running etc.  Bing Co-pilot gave up and suggested trying Zoom.
