The piss poor customer support offered by Zoom notwithstanding, I would like to find a solution as to why a movie I show during a meeting (class) is not showing for students. All they is a black screen.
I connect to the platform hosting the movie through a link sent to me by Social Dilemma. I have used the link to show this movie probably 20 times with no real issues. When I tried to show it recently, all student could see was a black screen and the closed captions. They could also hear the dialogue, but only a black screen was showing for them.
Suggestions appreciated.

Hello @BobAnderson,
Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience and late response.
Most streaming services use DRM (Digital Rights Management) to safeguard their content. DRM can detect when you're trying to share your screen and will actively block the video from appearing during a screen share. It's possible that the site you're streaming from has recently implemented or updated this protection. The goal of these safeguards is to prevent unauthorized recording or sharing of copyrighted material, and Zoom's screen sharing feature can trigger them. Essentially, the streaming service is preventing the content from being captured or shared in order to protect its intellectual property rights.
Thank you for understanding.
