Co-host option not found

HI -

I have the free version of zoom - In the meetings I start I do not have the co-host option.

I have gone to the zoom.us website, meetings, settings, and do not even see a button to turn that feature on.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hello.

We had a large conference call yesterday via our paid Zoom account.  Meeting was set to "Auto Record" and to "Cloud".

Here's what happened:

  1. The meeting began autorecording when the host joined, and saved the recording to the Cloud.
  2. After 48 seconds, Host accidentally turned off recording, then turned it back on moments later
  3. The next day:  We check the cloud, and only the initial 48-second recording is saved.  The much longer recording that began when host turned Record back on is not there.

When accessing the cloud recording I do the following:

-log into my account on Zoom.US.

-Click "My account"

-Click "Recordings"

-A recording for the meeting is here, but is only 48 seconds in length. The longer recording is not there

When accessing local recording on the host's Mac:

-Mac/Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom

-Folder is empty

The recorded meeting needs to be shared with dozens of corporate investors. We have tens of millions of dollars on the line if they can't see the recording.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Video Rendering Method

When Video Rendering Method is set to "Auto" how does zoom know to pick optimal rendering method between Direct3D11 Flip, Direct3D11, Direct3D9, and GDI?

Is there a way to know which Video Rendering Method is being used?

300M Zoom users NEED multi-PC login in today's working environment. Here's why.

PC's are dirt cheap.  Most people have both home offices and work offices with multiple devices at hand, each with its own capabilities.  Currently, logging into a new PC logs the User out of any other PC.  Why?  Both logins were validated.  The User wanted both.  Why force the User out of other devices?  I'd really appreciate it if you would allow Users to determine when they want to log-in or log-out of any particular device.

Accessibility comes in different forms for different Users.   A historic number of modern executives, managers, and individual contributors are working online instead of in shared offices and conference rooms.  Even those meeting in person use Zoom to include people that are traveling.

Scenario 1 - leaving my desktop to go to a conference room with my laptop

  • On workhorse PC, logged into Zoom.  Temporarily leave from my office with a laptop to meetings, forced to log in to Zoom on laptop (because office PC had the ball before), thereby automatically logging out of my PC.  Return to my office, must log in again to desktop to use Zoom, thereby logging out of my laptop again.  Who benefits from this?

Scenario 2

  • In my office, I want to use TWO PC's in the same meeting, serving different purposes.  What Users want is to make their own choices between tradeoffs such as:
  1. Tied to the wired Ethernet < > Wireless only (desire to use BEST connection to host meetings)
  2. Touch-screen/pen enabled < > Traditional touch-pad/mouse (pens best for interactive drawing on screen content and brainstorming)
  3. Connected to large monitor < > Small stand-alone screen (big monitors for personal viewing shared content, multiple windows)
  4. Applications on a PC or Tablet < > OTHER applications on another PC or Tablet

Perhaps I have one PC that is better purposed to HOSTING and other better purposed to CAMERA/Mic.

Perhaps I have one PC with a big screen to view multiple windows, and another with a more stable wired internet.

Perhaps the PC I use to host is different than the PC that has the software I want to share screen with.

I'd really appreciate it if you would allow Users to determine when they want to log-in or log-out of any particular device.

Thank you anyone that took the time to read, consider, add to, or respond.

TJ

I work remotely and use my home computer which has two nice large monitors.  I then remote desktop into my work computer in another location.  Because the remote desktop is far away and doesn't do Zoom very well, I do my Zoom meetings on my home computer...also taking advantage of a better microphone, speakers, GPU, and dual monitors.  This required I log into Zoom on the home computer.

I also use the Outlook plugin for scheduling Zoom meetings from my remote computer (I never use Zoom for calls on the remote computer), just scheduling meetings/calls.

This causes issues since the Outlook plugin needs me to log into Zoom, as does my home computer where I do Zoom calls...which Zoom doesn't allow.  I'm constantly being required to re-login between computers.  Ug.

Any suggestions or observations?

I have a similar issue as a user presented here in March 2022.

New M1 Mac computers (MacBookPro and iMac) but no sound when I host a meeting - but fine when I'm invited (or using other meeting platforms).

Computers updated. I have updated and uninstalled Zoom more than ten times! Testing sound before and during meetings looks fine, but not in communication with other users. They can't hear me - and I can't hear them!

Zoom help center has already suggested that I should do these things and check my headset (!!), but nothing seems to help.

All suggestions are most welcome, as this has been going on for the last week. As I have many scheduled online meetings, I assume I have tested it with at least 20-30 different users on various computers in the last week. When I ask the participants to set up a meeting and invite me (with Zoom), everything works (with the same headsets/sound).

I'm hoping to be able to share out the chat transcript after a meeting with people who attended (or did not attend). However, since I have emoji responses enabled (which create good engagement / community) these responses tend to clutter the chat transcript file and I end up manually removing all the emoji mentions from the file before sharing.

So, is there a way to remove emoji response mentions from the chat transcript file? Or do I have to disable emoji reactions altogether (which I don't want to do)?

For example, I want to remove 'XXX XXX Reacted to "That would be great...." with 👍' from the chat transcript file.

Thank you!

Hello!

I need some help....I have googled and researched and changed the settings on my zoom account.

I went to settings on the left side;  went to recordings; then cloud recording; I have checked the box that says

"record gallery view with shared screen".  It ONLY records the speaker not the gallery!!   I have reset it like 5 times. Recorded short 30 seconds to test and only the speaker shows.

 Really frustrated.
