I got an email on my email id which was not registered in zoom, the email read as "Registration in some webinar is complete" and there were details like topic and time etc.

It showed at the bottom as in to cancel if wish to so I cancelled it but then I realized I should have kept the email under spam. I really want to understand if it could be some scam.

Hello

I have been trying to find information regarding zoom updates, and how they are implemented. The company I work for is not a "Zoom Shop", but multiple users have zoom workplace installed  in order to meet with external vendors. Users do not log into workplace but utilize the "Join Now" feature.  Trying to decide if this launcher can be exploited if no one logs in, or if we should just aim to use meeting functionality in a web browser.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello,

I received an email from zoom-resync-donotreply@sender. (my  website name).com and the message was:

Dear (my name),

The Zoom integration for (my email) (Location: MyName) has expired, leading to disconnection. As a result, video conferencing links won't be generated and synced in the application, potentially causing issues with appointments.

Please click here to login and follow these steps to resync your Zoom account:

  1. Click on the Settings button in the left navigation panel.
  2. Select My Profile and go to Integrations.
  3. Locate the Zoom option and click on the delete icon.
  4. Confirm deletion by clicking “Confirm” in the popup.
  5. Your account has been deleted.
  6. Now, click on Connect.
  7. Enter the required details and sign in to your Zoom account.

Your Zoom account is successfully resynced. "

I am confused because my zoom meetings have been working fine today, but mainly the email sender looks maybe fake? Can anyone clarify whether this is a legit message? Is is what they are saying to do a real thing? Thank you

Hi!

I was looking to sign in to Zoom, but clicked the educator account at the bottom out of curiosity. I am now unable to sign in without being prompted to enter educator settings. Is there any way to disable this so I can just have a regular Zoom account again? I am currently using a different email to post this.

I saw another post about this in January, and they had a number set up for support to contact them.

Thank you!

At Zoom, we offer the capability to customize your line keys and position settings with ease.

If you possess a desk phone that supports multiple lines, you can personalize the line keys displayed on the device, which is particularly beneficial if you manage multiple or shared lines. For line keys linked to your direct numbers, you have the option to modify the order, outbound caller ID, and alias. For line keys associated with shared lines, you can adjust the order or alias.

Once you have completed customizing your line keys in the Zoom web portal, your desk phone will automatically reboot to implement the changes, provided it supports multiple line keys. Additionally, you can customize your line keys and positions by importing a CSV file.

Below, I have outlined the steps for accessing the line key settings both as an Admin and as a User.

If you are a Zoom Phone admin, you can access line key settings for phone users' desk phones or common area phones.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Users & Rooms.
  3. Click the Users or Common Area Phones tab.
  4. Click the name of the phone user or common area phone.
  5. Click the User Settings or Settings tab.
  6. In the Keys & Positions section, click View or Edit.
  7. Click Manage Keys.

As a phone user, you can access line key settings for your own desk phones.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Phone.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. In the Keys & Positions section, click View or Edit.
  5. Click Manage Keys.

You may be curious about the prerequisites for utilizing Zoom Phone Certified Hardware, check the below list for additional information.

  • Desk phones must support TLSv1.2 to work with Zoom Phone.
  • You must have the latest firmware version listed below for your device to work properly. Click the firmware version in the tables below to download it. Starting October 2021, the Firmware supported column states the release date of the firmware.
  • To see firewall rules for zero-touch provisioning, refer to the firewall rules for Zoom Phone.

At Zoom, we provide a versatile platform that enables seamless integration with your existing physical phone systems.

At Zoom, we understand the value of integrating seamlessly with Microsoft’s tools to offer a unified, collaborative experience. Through the Zoom Workplace bundle, we provide powerful features that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and increase employee engagement across Microsoft platforms. Our AI-driven platform also combines communication, employee engagement, and productivity into a single solution, elevating your collaboration capabilities and enhancing user workflows both within and beyond the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Zoom-Microsoft Integrations:

  1. Zoom for Teams and Outlook
With the Zoom app in Microsoft Teams, users can initiate Zoom calls, check voicemails, use SMS, record calls and even create Zoom meetings directly within Teams. Integration with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook further streamlines workflows, allowing users to manage email, calendars and meetings without switching applications. Leveraging our AI Companion, users can now use Smart Compose to draft emails directly in the Zoom client.
  2. Unified Document Collaboration
Users can share and co-author Office 365 documents directly within Zoom meetings, empowering real-time collaboration on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. By assigning live editing rights to all meeting participants, teams can seamlessly brainstorm and edit documents, creating a faster and more productive workflow. No more sending files back and forth, just join a Zoom Meeting and everyone can co-author at the same time.
  3. Whiteboard and Document Management
Zoom Whiteboards integrate effortlessly with Teams, making it easy to share brainstorming sessions. With the new Zoom Docs, ongoing project documentation is consolidated into a single source of truth, accessible from Zoom, Teams, or Outlook.
  4. Workvivo for Engagement
Integrating seamlessly with Microsoft's productivity suite, Workvivo creates a unified space where communication, collaboration, and engagement are all connected. With this, users can easily start Teams chats from their Workvivo profiles and return to Teams with a quick click in the app bar, live Teams-hosted streams can be accessed directly within Workvivo and do cross-platform posting to reach employees wherever they are. With SharePoint integration, Workvivo enables quick searches across folders for documents, presentations and files, making retrieval fast and efficient.
  5. Zoom Rooms and Workspace Reservations
Zoom Rooms work smoothly with Microsoft Teams, letting users schedule, join and manage meetings from either platform. Workspace Reservations allow users to book desks and rooms via Outlook and get check-in reminders through Teams, bridging remote and in-office experiences for hybrid work.

Through these integrations, Zoom offers an all-in-one collaboration platform, blending Zoom’s user-friendly interface with the essential tools of Microsoft. Our approach is simple: whether users prefer Zoom or Microsoft, they can work within one consistent framework, maximizing productivity and engagement.

We’re just getting started so watch out for even more innovations that make Zoom and Microsoft the perfect pairing for hybrid work.

Zoom recording settings are failing over and over again - with the most serious occurring yesterday. A one hour session recorded with a senior US government official for distribution and an announcement is "corrupted" and cannot be located. We have evidence it was recorded by not just observing the prompt and hearing it for the start and finish of the recording, but with the addition of the linked app - READ AI - showing a recording and a transcript accordingly. However READ AI is not allowing us to access our own information without paying an additional fee.

In turn, Zoom Technical Assistance has sent us 6 different emails with 3 different tickets, from 5 different Zoom employees - and the latest being an email saying our ticket has been "closed".

With apologies for this bold statement but what the F is going on with Zoom and its engineering-technical situation? We have been on 10 recorded work sessions over the past month - some on our account, some on others - and anywhere from 45-60 minutes into the sessions, Zoom recording just shuts itself off.

Anyone in the community much less Zoom leadership care to address this urgently and appropriately?
