At Zoom, we offer the capability to customize your line keys and position settings with ease.

If you possess a desk phone that supports multiple lines, you can personalize the line keys displayed on the device, which is particularly beneficial if you manage multiple or shared lines. For line keys linked to your direct numbers, you have the option to modify the order, outbound caller ID, and alias. For line keys associated with shared lines, you can adjust the order or alias.

Once you have completed customizing your line keys in the Zoom web portal, your desk phone will automatically reboot to implement the changes, provided it supports multiple line keys. Additionally, you can customize your line keys and positions by importing a CSV file.

Below, I have outlined the steps for accessing the line key settings both as an Admin and as a User.

If you are a Zoom Phone admin, you can access line key settings for phone users' desk phones or common area phones.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone System Management then Users & Rooms.
  3. Click the Users or Common Area Phones tab.
  4. Click the name of the phone user or common area phone.
  5. Click the User Settings or Settings tab.
  6. In the Keys & Positions section, click View or Edit.
  7. Click Manage Keys.

As a phone user, you can access line key settings for your own desk phones.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Phone.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. In the Keys & Positions section, click View or Edit.
  5. Click Manage Keys.

You may be curious about the prerequisites for utilizing Zoom Phone Certified Hardware, check the below list for additional information.

  • Desk phones must support TLSv1.2 to work with Zoom Phone.
  • You must have the latest firmware version listed below for your device to work properly. Click the firmware version in the tables below to download it. Starting October 2021, the Firmware supported column states the release date of the firmware.
  • To see firewall rules for zero-touch provisioning, refer to the firewall rules for Zoom Phone.

At Zoom, we provide a versatile platform that enables seamless integration with your existing physical phone systems.
