Recreate the feel of your class or conference room by placing up to 25 video participants onto a single virtual background with Immersive View.

Participants are automatically placed onto provided scenes and the host can adjust the arrangements as needed. The host can also use their own custom background for a unique scene. While this does not require use of the Virtual Background feature, it does work best when everyone has this functionality.

When used in a webinar, the host and panelists will be placed together onto the virtual background, while attendees view the scene.

As a testament to Zoom’s ongoing efforts to provide secure experiences across our all-in-one intelligent collaboration platform, we are pleased to announce that our core products are officially registered with the Information system Security Management and Assessment Program (ISMAP).

ISMAP assesses the security of cloud service providers (CSPs) and is designed to ensure compliance with Japanese government cloud security requirements. To achieve ISMAP certification, CSPs must undergo an evaluation by a third-party auditor who assesses the implementation of information security measures and management controls. Once approved, the CSPs can become a registered ISMAP provider, which enables businesses and government agencies to expedite their work together.

Which Zoom products are ISMAP certified?

Our intelligent collaboration platform includes several core products designed to increase productivity and contribute to our mission of delivering limitless communication. As of December 25, 2023, the following Zoom products are certified with ISMAP:

What does ISMAP certification mean for Zoom customers?

ISMAP certified products are an indicator of trust and provide peace of mind that the Japanese government’s security requirements were met. As part of the certification process, CSPs are evaluated on more than 1,000 requirements, including encryption practices and malware protection. This recognition enables government agencies to streamline the procurement process when evaluating cloud-based services.

Our ongoing commitment to global security standards

Third-party certifications are integral to our security program’s foundation, and this achievement adds another layer to our growing list of security certifications and attestations. We’re committed to expanding our security initiatives through attestations and certifications like ISMAP to enable our customers to safely collaborate and exchange information with ease.

Technology has seamlessly integrated into our lives, fostering increased engagement and collaboration. Zoom Meetings, for instance, has transcended its initial business-oriented purpose to encompass a diverse array of activities, ranging from online training and classes to concerts, busking, and even virtual parties. Now how about our other Zoom products and features?

During a recent meeting with a client, I delved into the realm of Zoom Rooms, a facet of the platform tailored to elevate the meeting experience. These dedicated spaces boast professional audio and video equipment, featuring high-quality cameras, microphones, speakers, and display screens. Catering to businesses, educational institutions, and organizations, Zoom Rooms provide a reliable and immersive virtual meeting environment.

Let me talk about the additional perk accompanying every Zoom Room license – unlimited access to Zoom Digital Signage. This feature empowers users to showcase dynamic content on digital screens, facilitating the dissemination of information, announcements, and engaging materials in various physical spaces like offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and public areas.

Intriguingly, my client had ingeniously leveraged this feature to inject fun and camaraderie into the workplace. For every holiday or office event, they creatively displayed captivating posters, images, banners, or marketing material on digital screens. Embedded within were tiny hidden images, enticing employees and office guests to embark on a treasure hunt, capturing selfies with the concealed visuals to win enticing prizes. The successful "treasure hunters" were rewarded with swag, creating a delightful and interactive work environment.

This inventive use of productive tools prompts contemplation on how else such platforms can be harnessed to engage employees or guests. The possibilities are vast – from fostering team spirit to enhancing guest experiences, these technological solutions offer a canvas for creativity and innovation in the professional realm. Can you think of any other ways to utilize these productive work tools and platforms to engage your employees or even guests?

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in joining a Zoom User Group and asked our Zoom account manager if they were aware of any existing user groups where other Zoom System Admins get together to talk through their experiences, challenges, successes, new integrations, etc.

I did a search here on the community but didn't find anything on this topic.  If anyone is interested in a Zoom User Group I would be happy to help spin something up and facilitate the first couple of sessions.

My current employer is in the Financial Technology space, we have ~1500 users of Zoom Meetings and Zoom Phones, we have 80+ Zoom Rooms deployed in multiple corporate offices and have users spread throughout the US.   I would love to connect with other system owners or admins who are utilizing the same services and talk through some of their best practices, hardware recommendations, challenges, wins, etc.

Cheers!

Jimmy Ortiz

So we all know how Zoom's Workspace Reservation works, using the web portal, desktop client, or your phone, you can access spaces available in your Zoom Account. You can book a conference room for yourself or for others, view the details of available rooms, upload photos, etc. Those options are all available right now just in case you didn't know.

Screenshot 2024-01-09 at 2.58.10 AM.png

Now over the past few months, we've been getting a lot of feedback from customers wanting to utilize more spaces and amenities for their employees. With that said, did you know that you have the ability to upload and configure additional "Space Types". A very popular one is Parking Reservation.

What's really cool about this is you can configure filters to be made available for your users. (Date and time, Floor Level, Available slots, handicap parking slots, Electric Vehicle Slots)

It's been very interesting to see how creative Zoomies got with the Workspace Reservations by taking things to the next level. From daycare to zen spaces, from fitness centers to sound rooms, the sky's the limit!
