40 minute limit removal no longer applicable to teaching?

I've been teaching on Zoom and making use of the removal of the 40-minute time limit which they enacted during lockdown. All of a sudden, my lessons are being cut at 40 minutes. I haven't changed anything. I'm still using an academic email for log-in... Show more

I've been teaching on Zoom and making use of the removal of the 40-minute time limit which they enacted during lockdown. All of a sudden, my lessons are being cut at 40 minutes. I haven't changed anything. I'm still using an academic email for log-in.

Has Zoom decided to put the limit back on everyone? I can't find anything online that suggests they've changed it.

Switching screens in touch screen mode on laptop

So when I am viewing a class on zoom and a teacher switches from camera mode to screen share mode and vice versa, if my laptop is flipped into touch screen mode it will bring me to the start menu. Every time I have to manually switch it back which ca... Show more

So when I am viewing a class on zoom and a teacher switches from camera mode to screen share mode and vice versa, if my laptop is flipped into touch screen mode it will bring me to the start menu. Every time I have to manually switch it back which can be annoying and I don't know if this is to do with my laptop or zoom but I would appreciate it if anyone knows a way to stop this from happening.

I have a personal zoom account and one linked to my university. The university one has some of premium features I think but I'm not entirely sure since I cannot access it anymore.

 

I had a group presentation that required recording. I was using zoom to record my segment.I think I got banned due to repeatedly starting meeting and ending them to convert batches of recordings in my attempts to get a decent recording for my project.

 

At some point 2 or 3 hours ago, I could no longer log into my university zoom account. The theory that I got banned due to too many recordings being considered an abuse of the system was brought up by my siblings. 

 

Please, I need to know how to fix this. I need that account for university-restricted classes.

Integrating Canvas Zoom LTI with Zoom Rooms "Meeting List"

Hi,

 

We are trying to make the starting of meeting in our Zoom Rooms as simple as possible for our instructors.

 

They schedule their class Zoom sessions in their Canvas courses using the Zoom LTI tool. When they teach in a room equipped with Zoom Room hardware they have to recall the meeting ID and passcode of their scheduled Zoom meeting in order to get the Zoom Room to join that meeting. Not a huge deal but it does mean it's "one more thing" they have to do before the class starts.

 

Has anyone thought about or worked on this issue? Ideally the Canvas Zoom tool would feed the Meeting List of the appropriate Zoom Room so that the instructor can just "single click" on their meeting on the Zoom Room console.

Hi! For the past year, I was using my school account with Zoom to no issues. 2 weeks ago, I saw the 40 minute time limit flash. This week and last week, it was removed. Does anyone know why it would be on/off? Just don't want any unexpected surprises... Show more

Hola, tengo un problema al programar las clases de los alumnos, con el id personal, cuando llega ese día de la clase, resulta que se borran los botones de al lado que dice iniciar, sale solo editar y eliminar, no puedo ingresar como anfitrión, solo como hospedador, nosotros usamos la versión gratuita, pero nadie mas en el colegio ha tenido ese problema. Y al ingresar por la aplicación zoom directamente me pide el id y la contraseña y las coloco y no lo toma, pero al ingresar por la pagina de zoom no existe ese problema pero ingreso como hospedador, si alguien pudiera ayudarme se los agradecería.
