In v5.10.0 of Zoom, a feature was added "Folders for grouping chats and channels".  This is a great feature and I took to it right away organizing people into folders.  However, if you do this, and then try to access those contacts on your mobile device, the folders and the contacts do not show up.  The only way to get someone to show up on the mobile device is to "star" them.  Is there a plan to update the mobile app to include these folders?  


If I star someone on the mobile app that is already in a folder on the desktop, they stay in the folder on the desktop and there is a choice to "unstar" them.  This is not a good alternative.

changed cannot be saved because the allowed editing time has expired.

At some point early in my meeting today, either I or this other person sent a direct message which has started a chain reaction. Now every time I try to talk in chat I send a direct message to him and vice versa. Each time this happens, it doesn't matter that we've switched to the main Meeting group chat, the system automatically switches us back. We keep trying to break the chain but one or the other of us manages to miss that we last received a direct chat. If you're thinking this is easy to resolve, under normal circumstances that would be true but this is an active class with constant chatting going on from nearly 50 people. There's supposed to be a block option but it's missing from the menu in our direct chat.

 

I'd like to know if there's a way for me as a user to set the Meeting group chat as the default channel which would stop me from responding to this person's direct chats. Or if there's anything else I can do. We are graded on participation and the teacher has to believe I'm simply not participating even though I have been very active. This is very frustrating.

Suggestion - Team Chat Contact List Hard to See

I find the sidebar in the team chat hard to see. The default theme ("dark") is a black background with a medium grey font color. There is not enough contrast. In Settings > Team Chat I know that I can change the sidebar theme to "light". But they you... Show more

I find the sidebar in the team chat hard to see. The default theme ("dark") is a black background with a medium grey font color. There is not enough contrast.

 

In Settings > Team Chat I know that I can change the sidebar theme to "light". But they you get a light background with the same medium grey font color. There is still not enough contrast to make it much better. 

 

It would be better if the "dark" sidebar theme had a white font color, and the "light" sidebar theme had a black font color. That would provide sufficient contrast to help. Seems like a simple fix.

 

The chat window itself already has good contrast with a light background (light blue or light grey) and a black font color.

Jumping when trying to type a text in Team Chat

Clicking the typing cursor in the text field to reply to another message makes the whole list of the chat jump to the past posts. This is on an iMac with Sequoia 15.2.

 

Any possible solution will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Cannot add members to a group

I am not able to add members to a group or channel. I receive an error message: this email address cannot join. These addresses are in my personal contacts.

I've been using Zoom Pro for years without any issues, but recently, the chat feature for participants in my meetings has stopped working. I've tried several solutions to fix it:

1. Ensured that the in-meeting chat feature is turned on.

2. Double-checked my chat settings by clicking on the three dots.

3. Restarted both Zoom and my computer.

4. Updated to the latest version of Zoom.

5. Verified that my internet connection is stable.

6. Followed all the suggestions from the Zoom support chat agent.

 

Despite all of these attempts, the problem persists. Could you please help me resolve this issue? Thank you very much!
