Every time I quit the app and restart it, I am met with a Zoom login prompt and my Settings are reset to default, even though I check the box on the login screen to keep me signed in. As for settings, all are reset to default each time I launch the app and log in.

 

For example, I can set the following:

General : Ask me to confirm when I leave a meeting: no

Video : Original ratio: yes, HD: yes, Mirror my video: no, Turn off my video when joining meeting: yes

Audio : Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting: yes

Team Chat : Show my status as Away when I am inactive for __ minutes: no

 

I close the settings window and these preferences are preserved for days and through multiple meetings, as long as I leave Zoom running. I can even sign out and back in, and settings are preserved as long as I didn't quit the app. But if I close Zoom and reopen the app, I have to sign in again and all of these settings are back to default. Is this expected behaviour? I don't think so, but I don't know how to correct it so that I can stay signed in and my settings are preserved across multiple launches of the app.

Chat Box

My chat box must have a glitch in it.  It automatically sends empty chat boxes to the group from me even though I didn't send them

Home/Today panel cannot be hidden in Zoom Workplace for Windows

In the current Windows version of Zoom Workplace, the Home/Today panel on the right side cannot be hidden. It can only be expanded, not collapsed. There is no collapse button, no menu option, and no way to disable it. This blocks the workspace in Tea... Show more

In the current Windows version of Zoom Workplace, the Home/Today panel on the right side cannot be hidden. It can only be expanded, not collapsed. There is no collapse button, no menu option, and no way to disable it. This blocks the workspace in Team Chat and reduces usability. The panel needs to be collapsible, just like in earlier versions. Please restore the ability to hide it.

I have figured out how to increase the size of the font within the actual chat message itself. What I cannot find is how to increase the size of the Team Chat List (the bar on the left). Even changing the settings on my computer for apps doesn't affect the size of the font. How can I adjust the size of that font? If I cannot, that is a huge accessibility oversight.

I am not familiar with Team Chat, but I would like to use it for a meeting that I didn't host. The host has given me permission to start a chat with the other members. The meeting ended a few days ago. Questions:

  1. Am I able to start a Team Chat session if I was not the host of the meeting? I have the meeting ID and password.
  2. Will Team Chat still be available even though the meeting has ended and all participants have logged off?
  3. How will participants know that a chat has begun since they have logged out of the meeting? Will they receive some kind of alert?

Is there a way where we can trigger a predefined template when we start a conversation with any person or team. When a Support team member pings a person, it should throw a template " I am XXXX from XXXX team " and that XXXX team is critical need to be highlighted as "Critical Response team" .Is this possible?

I do not have time to click person by person during a discussion meeting.Most times their suggestions come to me (the host) via the chat and I do not want others to see their inputs.Now, I have to click name by name to check their inputs. Ridiculous ... Show more

I do not have time to click person by person during a discussion meeting.
Most times their suggestions come to me (the host) via the chat and I do not want others to see their inputs.

Now, I have to click name by name to check their inputs. Ridiculous when I have almost 100 people in the meeting.
I need to be able to read all incoming messages quickly at a glance as we are discussing stuff.

Please allow us to choose if we want to see all messages at a glance instead of having to click user by user!

I am inquiring  if there is a way to concisely view the following chat metrics:

High Priority

-how many messages were sent, and by whom

-how many times a person was @ in the chat/channel

-how many times a mention group was @ in chat/channel


Low Priority: 

-who interacted with messages (sorted into emoji & reply)

-view number of daily/lifetime clicks of chat resources and by whom

-added & removed list of members time stamped

time/date stamps in chat

Zoom started putting a time/date stamp in the chat box at the end of meetings.  This takes a lot of screen space and is completely unnecessary.

How do I turn off this feature?
