We have a Logitech Rally Bar connected to two LG TV monitors. Since the last Zoom software update on the Rally Bar, the second display is misaligned and smaller than the full screen size.

Zoom is set as the primary provider for the Rally Bar, but we also have Teams and Google Meet configured. When using Teams or Meet, the second display works perfectly, suggesting to us that the Zoom software is the source of of the issue. The primary (screen 1) is a 1080p LG monitor, and the second (screen 2) is a 4K LG monitor. Everything worked perfectly up until the last Zoom software update a few weeks ago.

We understand that Reqwest offers expertise in both Zoom Rooms and Lifesize, and we would appreciate your help in comparing the two platforms to help our client make an informed decision.

Specifically, we are interested in information on the following aspects:

  • Cost Analysis: An estimated cost comparison for transitioning from Lifesize to Zoom Rooms. This could include potential savings or increased costs associated with hardware, software licenses, and ongoing support.
  • Migration Process: Information on the migration process involved in switching from Lifesize to Zoom Rooms. This could include details on data transfer, hardware compatibility, and user training requirements.

We've recently installed a new meeting room using Yealink for Zoom Rooms. However, when we create a meeting, the "Start" button is missing from all my scheduled meetings on the Zoom Room controller.

Integration: Google Calendar (resource calendar NOT an individual account)

Status: Set up, and synced. Calendar added to Zoom Rooms account

What we do:

  1. When we create a meeting, we use Google Calendar, and add / invite the room in question.
  2. The room would automatically accept the invitation and it would add the meeting to the respective calendar.
  3. The meeting request shows on the Zoom Room controller, however, there is no option to "Start" the meeting. There appears to be no "Start" button

I have double checked all permissions, etc. I just cannot seem to get the "Start" button to appear. For now, I have enabled the same ID for each meeting, so we can at least create an instant meeting at the time of a scheduled meeting.

As this is a Zoom Room license, it's not licensed for a specific user, so I cannot send a meeting invite from this "user's" account, as there is none…. This is a resource calendar on my Google Admin portal, not an individual calendar.

I have read some of the other articles here and on other sites, but none seems to present a solution. All I can find is that the invited room needs to be the host to enable this "Start" button, but as yet I am unable to get this to work.

Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated…

Zoom room controller:  Yealink CTP18 137.320.0.50 (App ver. 5.16.5 (2354))

Zoom room platform: Yealink Meeting Bar A20 133.320.0.39 (App ver. 5.16.5 (3917))

Thanks in advance!

I got workspaces set up fine.  Uploaded a floor map, setup desk and uploaded pictures (fancy), and got way finding working.  Printed out the QR codes for my test desks.

I can reserve from the Workspace desktop app, mobile app, and printed out QR code.

Picked up a Neat Frame and got it setup in Kiosk mode.  Map displays and everything and when I click on my test seat to reserve it and try and scan the QR code to reserve my test desk I get "Reserve failed, please try again later."  I get the same error when trying reserve by email.

Not sure if I am missing some checkbox somewhere, everything else seemed pretty straight forward.  Got any suggestions?

Hi All - I'm running the Dell Optiplex PC that comes pre-installed with Windows 10 IoT and the Zoom Rooms software pre-installed. My enterprise IT team is asking if they can install our existing Windows A/V and use SCCM/Intune to manage it, like a regular Windows 10 PC? Are we able to escape out of the Zoom Rooms interface and get to the regular Windows desktop? If so, I can't see why they can't install this and we just set back to Zoom Rooms to auto-login again? Thoughts? Anyone get asked this by there IT teams? Thanks!

Problem

I have 2 Jabra 710 devices and were able to reproduce this problem on 6/3/2024 with a Zoom Rooms setup.

For some reason on this day when we joined a zoom rooms meeting the first Jabra 710 entered a boot loop. This causes the device to keep looping causing the zoom rooms to keep switching between Jabra / Mac Mini and TV audio.

We unplug the first Jabra 710 and swapped in a second Jabra 710 and the same thing happened.

When we try both Jabra 710's on a personal computer instead of the zoom rooms machine. The boot looping continues on both bluetooth or cabled connections on the personal computer!. They also both keep switching audio and are unstable!

Solution

To fix the boot loop on the Jabra 710 I would plug it back to the zoom room. This time I would enter in zoom room passcode (if required to change settings) and manually selected the Jabra 710 as both the default speaker and microphone. This solves the boot loop.

Now when I unplug the Jabra 710 and plug it into a personal laptop it no longer has a boot loop!

It's just the weirdest thing I don't know the root cause but that is the workaround / solution I wanted to report.

Muting the source device's speakers to reroute audio to venue's speakers is a problem.

1.  MACs often need an audio jack with male connectors at both ends to keep the laptop's speakers from producing sound in addition to the venue's speakers. Yet, even this did not mute the 15 year old QuickTime video someone created and tried to share screen to the in-venue and remote attendees.

2.  Could not get presenter's iPad to join the meeting and screen share (don't know if they have the same problem with sound as item 1 since I cannot connect them)

CURRENT PRESENTATION SET UP: Presenters arrive with their presentations on their own devices, join the Zoom Room set up by the administrative staff of the HOA, and share their screen. Some have embedded audio and or video clips and some access audio video clips from the regular sources (YouTube, etc.) or irregular (15 year old self-created QuickTime videos) All classes are live streamed and recorded.

BACKGROUND: Since 2014, I've been doing AV for my club in my homeowner's association (4000 homes, 6000 residents, 5 venues in which to put on events and classes). One of the clubs that employs me puts on classes (3 different presenters a week presenting classes as short as 2 weeks to as long as 8 weeks at a time. We have Fall, Winter and Spring sessions. Over the 10 years I've gone from PPP and Keynote via VGA, HDMI, and since reopening after COVID we've switched to Zoom Webinars/Meetings. Given the number of other clubs and meetings utilizing Zoom simultaneously, the HOA requires utilizing Zoom Rooms.

Our HOA has invested over $200,000.00 to upgrade the venues which have their own cameras, projectors, movie screens, and Bose speakers.

Have any ideas?
