Hi!

I have enabled my participant for closed captioning on their end within their zoom account.  I have it enabled as the host on my account.  However, when I do a test with the participant, the closed captioning doesn't come up for them but it does come up for me.  How can I make it so that my zoom invites enable this particular deaf person to see what I am saying using closed captioning correctly?  Is it that when

At time somene else arrive to the waiting room or into the meeting, the camera resolutions falls to 360 in all the attendance, and never grow up. Including when the rest of attendance leave the meeting. If I want to recover 720 resolution, I have to close the meeting, and open it again with only two people of attendace.

I just got a new computer, Windows 11 and cannot switch off the background noise suppression in audio settings. This means that when I use a meditation gong for group meetings, the gong cannot be heard. I tried music settings, original sound etc, but nothing works.

Plus I can only find audio settings when I am in a meeting, not when I am just on my own profile. Perhaps this is normal, but I have been trying to change the settings when in a meeting context.

Any help appreciated. I saw that other users have had this problem too.

Hello!

I have a pro plan and I want to stream group calls in 1080p. This is a big deal to me and my business. And I feel that it is to a lot of others. Yet I find it head-scratching how difficult, unclear and at times contradictory (at least to my level of understanding) the information on how to do this is. If it were as simple as upgrading to business, okay, great. But it doesn't appear to be.

Going from 360p to 1080p is a big, big difference. And it's a pretty big deal for professionals using Zoom who rely on video streaming for their businesses.

Yet the information on how to reliably stream at 1080p doesn't appear to be listed or touched on at all in the 'plans and pricing' page (am I wrong?).

And there seems to be a lot of information on people upgrading or tweaking settings to get to stream at 1080p and then finding out they're still continuing to stream at the same quality (this also applies to people trying to move from 360p/etc. to 720p).

**I tried to test if my streaming quality increased after going to my zoom meeting settings in my browser and toggling on 'meeting hd video quality'. But when I go and start a new meeting to see if anything has changed, (video settings -> statistics -> video ->resolution)--it shows me no information at all. Perhaps that's because I'm in a test meeting alone? Who knows. Can't find the answer to this online either.

So I'm looking for a clear, straightforward answer: if I'm on a device that can shoot video in 1080, how can I stream group calls in 1080p?

And yes, I know that quality can apparently be effected by people joining that can't support 720/1080. But *minimally* how can my recordings of these calls be in 1080p?

Apologies for sounding harsh, this is just really frustrating and I'm a little at a loss here.

Ok so we are launching our business on Jan 1 and as of right now we are a bit stuck.

We have a company creating our website and another company that is providing us with the backend structure for the services we provide.

OVERVIEW:

Our company hosts virtual meetings, we have two types:

Type 1: Daily Meetings

  1. Virtual Meeting that happens 5 times a day at set times and will be reoccurring.
    1. access to this meeting is dependent on a subscription the clients purchase

Issues:

the company for the backend is Momence, the way they structured the code when you set up a reoccurring class(Meeting), is it asks for the Zoom stream link.

Questions:

  1. Is this generated from using the Livestream part of Zoom id?
    1.  I assume this would only require 1 account because the times don’t overlap.
    2.  Zoom accounts are free if the meetings are under 40 minutes, the meetings that occurs daily are 20 and 40min so can I create a stream link without a paid plan?
    3.  If I do need a plan which works?

Type 2: 1 on 1 Meetings

  1. Virtual Meeting that is based on bookings with our staff members
    1. These meetings are non existent until someone chooses the staff member on the website/app

Issues:

Momence does not have a way to integrate this in the backend, there role would be to facilitate the booking of the staff and collecting of the payment, after that we would need to generate an email that sends them the meeting link.

Questions:

  1. Can this be accomplished in a way that doesn't require us purchasing accounts for every single staff member?
    1.  again these 1 on 1s are bought in 40min session times so if its possible to link a bunch of free accounts together could we do that?
    2.  If we do have to pay can we pay for a master and somehow have all the staff as sub accounts or something?
    3.  Is there a plan for this?

Closing:

I spent 2 hours on the phone and was unable get anywhere with the various people i spoke to, just looking for some direction and ideas on how to accomplish our needs.

I just finished a Zoom meeting that was a rehearsal for a conference presentation -- I was playing the part of the audience and my wife was presenting. I could hear her audio and see both her video and screen sharing. She could see my video, but she could not hear me when I spoke.  The recording, however, picked up my voice just fine.

Both of us are on Macs with current OS and Zoom app updates. We tried a FaceTime call and that worked fine... she could see and hear me. And when she connected to Zoom via IOS app, she could hear me as well.

Any thoughts on how to resolve?

Additional Details:

My configuration -- Mac Mini M2 with Logitech Brio webcam (and microphone built-in).  MacOS 14.3 and Zoom 5.17.

Her configuration -- MacBook Pro M1 with MacOS 14.2.1 and Zoom 5.17
