I've been using ZOOM for two years, 2-5 times a week, tutoring a student.

Suddenly, ZOOM fails to launch on my PC running Windows10. It's normal on my iPad.

 

I've repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled the program.  Still won't launch.

I emptied my CHROME cache of cookies and images for all time--still won't launch.

I've opened the <Preferences> file in my USER DATA--there is no <"excluded_schemes">

--so I removed the only <zoommtg> entry that was referring to my zoom sign-on.

--STILL NO ZOOM program launch.

 

Now what...?

Unable to launch video meeting

error massage "Unable to launch video meeting. When possible, please restart your computer and try again"

I've tried to restart computer and checked camera and microphone access but still not working on my laptop.

Zoom video shows blue face, everything is in blueish

Camera works but people face and everything in the screen turn blueish.

CoHosting Limitations from iphone

Question:  When I co-host from my iphone or ipad, there is a major limitation on my cohost controls.  I can't see what participants are in the  breakout rooms and cant move participants (either into breakout rooms, between breakout rooms or back to main session).  I can do all of those things from my desktop when I am a cohost.

 

Is this just a limitation of the mobile app?  Can it be overcome?

 

Any advice would be appreciated!

Problem joining without signing into zoom.

When I attempt to join a meeting without signing in, I'm not entered into the meeting but I always get the following message >> "Open URL:zoommtg - us02web.zoom.us wants to open this application"

Resolved! Showing timer to participants is not an option

I tried referencing this article - Using the Zoom Timer App But the Show timer to all toggle control does not appear on the Timer app. I'd like to show the participants the timer while they are presenting. Are there settings I need to adjust in order... Show more

Old version CleanZoom (6.5.64722.907) removes user type installs while latest version does not

I would like to bulk remove many Desktop Client "user" type installs and eventually replace them with "machine" type installs. I have an old version of CleanZoom (6.5.64722.907) that when run, cleans out the user type installs correctly. I downloaded the latest version (1.0.0.143) today which says it was updated on July 25, 2023. When I run the new version on a computer with a user install, the tool exits and fails to remove the software. Has this ability been removed from CleanZoom and only removes machine type installs?

It appears that when I force a machine type install to a computer with a user type install, the user type install is removed anyway, so this will be a quick way to flip them all to machine type installs. However, it would be good to have an up to date tool that will clean out any type of install.
