Is there a work around to have someone else be present for the meeting that does not cost? We are a small quilt guild. I leave the room open so people join when the meeting starts but sometimes I am not available.

How to Test Using Desktop for Video and Dial-in for Audio

How can I set audio to my iPhone/pods while using my desktop computer for video (so using two devices simultaneously), and do so without showing as two participants in the meeting?

I don't see any options to do this under settings or in a mock meeting session. I need to toggle from using a webcam mic on my desktop due to the loud echo and want to find / test a workaround for this.

I've also tried connecting my iPods to my desktop to see if Zoom recognizes them as an audio source but no luck there either!

Thanks!

Thank you!

Why are the participant's names appearing in the corner of the screen on recorded Zoom meetings even when I am asking it to not do this under settings? I am reading on here that others are having the same issue. Is this only a problem with the free version or are paid members having this issue too? How long has this been happening? I did a recording in December & did not experience this issue. I need the names to not display for privacy reasons. When will this be resolved? Has anyone heard anything?

I have used the Zoom desktop app on my 64-bit laptop for ages. Yesterday it would not work, complaining that I needed to download a current version.

When I download it, I get ZoomInstallerFull in my downloads. When I try to run it, I get a window to sign in to Zoom Cloud Meetings. When I put in my account and password, it complains, "Your app version needs to be 5.14.5 or higher to sign in. Please contact your IT team to update your app.

I'm not trying to sign in to Zoom Cloud Meetings, I'm trying to update my app. What do I need to do to update it?

I have used a green screen with Zoom for years and haven't had issues until recently.

The Issue

  • When joining a meeting, my green screen works great. I alternate between a blue background graphic that I made and a darker one (an off black).
  • A few minutes into the meeting, my face will basically disappear into the background. My hair remains, but it is very jarring.

Equipment

  • Macbook Pro M1
  • Elgato Collapsible Green Screen
  • Logitech 4K Webcam
  • Elgato Key Light
  • 1GBps Internet
  • My Zoom is up to date

We are a small non-profit with a Zoom Pro account that we share amongst different people.  That is, we have a number of different meetings all owned by the same Zoom account, but  different people run them and all those people have a need to log into Zoom using our one Zoom Pro account in order to run the meeting as Host..    Let's say that the one Zoom account is "***********" and note that one person only can log into that email.

Today, for the first time, someone got the message, "We detected an unusual sign-in from a device or location you don't usually use. If this was you, enter the code below to sign in to Zoom"  and, of course, Zoom sent the code to *********** but the person running the meeting was not the person who has access to the email!

You see the problem.  How can we turn off that security email?  I am aware that if we enable 2 Factor Authentication the verification email will not be used - but I don't think that solves our problem because each of the people who might need to run the meeting has to have access to that same 2FA SMS phone number or authenticator - so 2FA isn't going to work either.

We want to turn off that security email.  How can we do it?  This is a big issue for use as you can imagine.

Dear Zoom developer,

Is there an option that will allow us to share screen and at the same time prevent other users to take screenshot of what we share?  This feature will be very useful for some sensitive information or information with certain level of confidentiality.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Roger
