How do I turn off mini windows on Windows?

Searching for this shows me (1) Solved: Disable Zoom Meetings Mini Window - Zoom Community but as others in the thread itself have pointed out, such an option does not exist. 

 

Any idea how i can do this on Windows? It's extremely annoying. 

Downloading Cloud Recordings with Meeting Topic in File Name

Is there a way to set up downloads of cloud meeting recordings so that the meeting topic (ie the name I've given to each meeting) is part of the file name instead of just the GMT date and the series of numbers assigned to each meeting? I have about 1... Show more

Is there a way to set up downloads of cloud meeting recordings so that the meeting topic (ie the name I've given to each meeting) is part of the file name instead of just the GMT date and the series of numbers assigned to each meeting? 

 

I have about 100 meetings to download, and without a bulk download option I already have to do them one at a time, but I could do that quickly if they came down with the meeting topic as part of it; without it, I have to wait until each one downloads and change the name on all the files associated with that download so I don't lose track of what's what. SUCH a time waster!

From time to time, I join a group and want to be anonymous. 

I read an article that said:

  

"So if you have a Zoom account, it might be better to set up a second account that you can use as an alias – e.g. with no image and a different name.”  

 

Is this possible and where in my settings can I do this? I have a zoom one pro account. Thanks for any ideas.

Not getting Activation-Link emails.

I get OTHER Zoom emails just fine. So they're not going to Spam. However, I am NOT receiving ACTIVATION-LINK Emails to classes for which I've registered. I have a Zoom Basic Plan as I NEVER host sessions on my own. I merely take OLLI classes through ... Show more

I get OTHER Zoom emails just fine.  So they're not going to Spam. 

 

However, I am NOT receiving ACTIVATION-LINK Emails to classes for which I've registered.  I have a Zoom Basic Plan as I NEVER host sessions on my own.  I merely take OLLI classes through University of Denver and lately can NOT get Activation-Link Emails from Zoom. I used to get them just fine.  I've also already worked with a Tech Guru for DU's OLLI classes, and he can't figure out why I'm having this trouble.  I "CAN'T" get more Zoom Support Help unless I upgrade my Basic Plan. AARGH!

Any suggestions welcome.

I got a pop up message each morning from last month from Zoom. Telling me that the admin requires me to sign in every 24 hours. Would you know why this is happening? Please note that the program (Zoom) is closed.

Hi all,

We are having a real problem with Zoom in the last few months. We are a church and we conduct online meetings. Typically, there will be a main speaker who leads the worship or prayers and everyone joins. So, we would normally spotlight the main speaker and ask others to unmute and join in the worship and prayer time. 

 

What we have noticed in the last few meetings is that, when others unmute and start singing or speaking, the main speaker (speaker who was spotlighted) audio completely cuts off. When the other person stops speaking, then only we can hear the main speaker voice. 

 

Is there a change that has happened recently that is causing this issue? We desperately need this fixed. Else, we might have to move out to smoother meeting software as it is so important to us. 

Any help would be of great help!

Resolved! Confused by plans - what plan do I need for these types of meetings?

I need to allow up to 8 participants.

 

Since at least one of these meetings needs to go for 1hr or more, it's clear I can't use the 'Basic' plan. So, I assume I can use the 'Pro' plan. However, I just wanted to confirm this is correct?

 

The only reason for my confusion is the Plans page lists the price in terms of $ per year / per user. Am I correct in assuming that's just talking about the $ cost for the account holder, and not for each meeting attendee?

 

This is not for business or govt purposes, so if we each had to pay for a 'Pro' plan in order to meet then Zoom wouldn't be the product/service for us.

Hello,

 

I am using a MacBook Pro Apple M1 running macOS Sonoma 14.3.1

 

I am using the correct version of Zoom for Silicone Version: 5.17.5 (29101)

 

During a meeting everything is fine until I open the chat or participants box and then my zoom freezes and I have to force quit. Once I open it again, it works fine and I can open the chat and participants. 

 

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom.

 

I have also contacted Apple Support who said they do not think the problem is their end, they think it's Zoom. However they got me to reinstall Sonoma just in case but the problem persists.

 

It only happens with Zoom and has been ongoing for a good few months now.

Greetings Zoom Community. I have a home based business and a big presentation coming up. As many as 100 participants. My internet speed is 325mb down and 100mb up, using ethernet. I am just trying to get a baseline on how I can use zoom with large meetings. Open to all suggestions, lower def video, more sessions, less people. It will be a meeting not a webinar. If someone could provide a basic rule of thumb (participants/bandwidth/video settings) that would be great Because it will be so many people, I cant do any real testing.
