I really need help on an ongoing issue, due to which I had to leave a work meeting

My zoom desktop app says that my zoom is unable to detect the camera and that it should be powered on in my computer. I have tried all the solution on the zoom website and seen to it that each one is resolved. Access to my camera both on zoom and desktop is given. But yet the problem persists. It if continues I will not be able to attend important zoom meetings which will lead to severe consequences. Can someone please help me out?

Resolved! Computer runs slow while using Zoom

My Mac and Zoom are both up to date, but whenever I'm in a Zoom meeting, my computer runs painfully slow to the point where my colleagues don't want me to screen share. Apple said it's not my computer, I have fast internet with lots of bars and no on... Show more

My Mac and Zoom are both up to date, but whenever I'm in a Zoom meeting, my computer runs painfully slow to the point where my colleagues don't want me to screen share. Apple said it's not my computer, I have fast internet with lots of bars and no one else I know seems to have this problem. 

 

Any ideas as to what the cause might be?

Whiteboard automatically launching during meetings

The last 2 Funerals I have live streamed resulted in an issue. This was where a whiteboard was created without my instigation. In fact on both occasions I was not even in contact with the keyboard of the computer. This is very disconcerting and has never happened in over 100 Funerals. Is this as a result of some bug in a recent upgrade, if so, how do I stop this happening?

Dual monitor lack of viewing options when screen sharing a Keynote presentation

I have recently added a second (larger) display to be able to view the participants in zoom meetings, as my MacBook Air screen is too small to see all participants clearly in meetings of more than 9 people.

So far, so good, once you figure out how to show all the participants on the second monitor - for some reason it defaults to only show my self view on the second display. I can drag the main Zoom window across to the other screen, which also moves the controls across - annoying, but at least it works.

 

The challenge comes when I try to screen share a Keynote presentation.  For some reason the Keynote shows up in full screen on the second monitor, and there is no way to reduce the size of it and still show the participants next to the shared content, as it would be possible if I were a participant and the host shared their screen. There are no controls available anywhere on either screen while the screen share is active, except to close the Keynote presentation. 

 

I don't know if this is due to settings within Zoom; within Keynote or within the Mac OS. It's a 2020 MacBook Air running on the latest OS 14.3 with all app updates done and Zoom kept up to date. The additional monitor is a 2020 Dell which works fine otherwise.

 

Has anyone found a workaround or the correct settings to solve this issue? Or is this something that needs to be added in a future Zoom update?

Resolved! Why didn't meeting participants receive invitation e-mails?

It's my first time setting up a Zoom meeting. I've scheduled the meeting and included all the participants and I included my alternate e-mail to be sure the invitations went out. I haven't received the invitation so I'm wondering if I missed a step. ... Show more
