When I mirror my Zoom screen from my Android phone or Windows PC to my TV - either by Miracast or by HDMI cable - the TV gets the video but no sound, audio stays on phone / PC. This only happens with Zoom - other apps, from my Android phone / Windows PC, the TV gets both video and audio. When my spouse uses Airplay to mirror Zoom from iPhone or iPad to Apple TV box (which feeds into same TV by HDMI cord), TV gets both video and audio. I've seen a couple other posts about similar issues with no replies. Does anyone know what is happening here? Thanks.

Send Chat Message to All Co-hosts

I had thought that the Chat setting "Participant Can Chat With: Host and co-hosts" would mean that a chat message would be visible to the host and all the co-hosts. But I'm finding it seems just to allow participants to message a host or co-host dire... Show more

I had thought that the Chat setting "Participant Can Chat With: Host and co-hosts" would mean that a chat message would be visible to the host and all the co-hosts.

 

But I'm finding it seems just to allow participants to message a host or co-host directly. Is there any way around this?

 

I was really hoping all our co-hosts would see any message coming in from our participants.

I give talks on music over zoom each week, which include playing clips of music videos. Recently, whenever I play a music video, the audio is very distorted with a lot of interference, making it impossible for my participants to hear. Strangely, when I play the video on zoom when my participants are not present, the audio is fine. 

This week, I had to interrupt my talk twice by turning my laptop off and restarting. In the end, the videos were ok, but it seems to be unpredictable. Any ideas what's wrong?

I need support. When I invite people under the "Schedule Meeting" tab and submit all the emails of the people I am inviting, it tries to send the invitations through my laptop's app. However, it attempts to use an email account that I no longer use, and it defaults to Outlook. How can I change this?

Waiting room turned off in profile but participants are being put in a waiting room. Why?

In my online Zoom account, under settings, I have "Waiting Room" turned off. However, when I set up a meeting (it doesn't matter if it is a scheduled meeting or a "start meeting" where I then send an invite link to people) people are put in a waiting room. We're just trying out zoom for a new business, so apparently, I don't have access to either phone or chat support, so I'm hoping this community can help.

 

Thoughts on how to fix this? Success is simply that when people join a meeting, they get right in without having to wait in a room and be admitted, regardless of if it is a scheduled meeting or a start now-type meeting.

I have a Mac computer and have no problem setting up or responding to zoom meetings except when one specific person zooms me and frequently my video and mute buttons are locked. I am unable to be seen or heard, but can hear and see the other party. I strongly suspect the problem is with the person zooming me. Any suggestions?
