Wrong password response when trying to open link to recorded meeting

I was sent a link to a recorded meeting with a password (sent from overseas, I am in US). People in the country of origin have no trouble opening with this password but I repeatedly get " wrong password". Help! [note, am trying to open in MacBook Air...
