I have connected zoom sdk to my project as it is said here: https://developers.zoom.us/docs/meeting-sdk/web/component-view/import-sdk/

All OK, but I would like to be able to handle the call end event. I use actual lib (not deprecated):

javascript
const ZoomMtgEmbedded = await (await import('@zoom/meetingsdk/embedded')).default;
const client = ZoomMtgEmbedded.createClient();
const clientConf = await getAuth(id, role, f_name, l_name);

const meetingSDKElement = document.getElementById('meetingSDKElement');
client.init({
    zoomAppRoot: meetingSDKElement,
    language: 'en-US',
    // leaveUrl: '', // This option was available in the now deprecated library - @zoom/meetingsdk/embedded
    patchJsMedia: true,
    leaveOnPageUnload: true,
    customize: {
        meetingInfo: ['topic', 'host', 'mn', 'pwd', 'telPwd', 'invite', 'participant', 'dc', 'enctype'],
        toolbar: {
            buttons: [
                {
                    text: 'Custom Button',
                    className: 'CustomButton',
                    onClick: () => {
                        console.log('TEST');
                    }
                }
            ]
        }
    }
});

The "leaveUrl" parameter was convenient, you can make a redirect with parameters and perform the necessary logic on the page, now this option is not available, and I have been walking in circles on the zoom forum for several hours and either there is no answer, or the answers do not relate to the current library.

When you end a call, the browser gives an "alert" about it, maybe you can intercept it somehow, or play through other events, if you can't add your own callback. Or is "beforunload" the only way?

Thanks for any help!

Running latest Zoom on a Laptop running Windows 10 (just re-installed Zoom so brand new).  All has been fine until a week ago when my C drive filled up.  Cleaned that up but now I can't stream to facebook.  I get the following message in the url line

https://zoom.us/client_facebook_signin?code_challenge=[a bunch of letters and numbers].

The error is:  This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action.  Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page.

Ok, so the question is what file and what is the app??   Can't take any real action until I know that!  Is it Zoom, Facebook or some other app I don't have.  Both Zoom and Facebook are installed!

Thanks for any help

I found a setting that controls the different sounds you can select for notifications. But I REALLY need to hear a notification when someone enters the waiting room, and that isn't happening. Since Zoom has been changed to force the use of a waiting room, I've had a problem with certain attendees who come to the meetings late while I'm sharing screen+audio, and I miss the visual notification that someone new has arrived. I'm not always focused on my desktop during these meetings (ok, confession -- I actually was distracted during the meeting I was hosting while sharing video).

Based on my experiences joining other people's meetings, I've heard such notifications. But I'm not getting them myself -- just the tiny banner that appears. What am I missing? Why am I not getting any audible notification?

I have an accessibility question. Is there a way to invert the colors of just the screen share portion of the meeting window (of what someone else is sharing)?

Being of low vision I'm ultra sensitive to the traditional white backgrounds of apps. Having everything on my computer in dark mode works well for me, but when on a meeting I'm blinded by someone who shares their screen, and I'm unable to follow along or help them as a result. Being able to invert just the shared portion of a meeting would be life changing.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions!

When I use the "test speaker and microphone" option from within zoom the speaker test fails BUT the microphone test works and I can hear the microphone playback through the speakers.  Speakers work for other apps and tests on the laptop which is less than 3 years old.

Zoom has worked fine for me with the windows desktop app for 2+ years. I was testing some headphones today in the 1/4" port and when I took them out the speakers no longer work properly in the zoom desktop app.

I've tried uninstalling the app

Correct speaker is selected (system speakers built into laptop)

Speakers tested and work both through system setting and also if I launch a zoom meeting from the web client

Sound is not muted or turned down

Greatly appreciate any assistance.

Zoom Bluetooth issues in version 6.6.x

This is using an Anker Bluetooth Conference Speaker.

Update 6.6.1 the Bluetooth speaker would work and play audio but not the microphone Zoom would say cannot connect. This is working fine in Windows for both Speaker and Microphone.

Update 6.6.6, the Bluetooth microphone started working but now the Bluetooth speaker would not. It looks fine in Zoom, but the speaker never plays any volume, this speaker works fine in Windows.

Uninstalled and re-installed 6.5.0 and everything works as normal.

Before anyone replies, please note that I personally understand how to navigate this issue and am not asking how to do it - I am merely recommending software improvement

I work in IT classroom/conference/event support at a university, and a big part of my job is helping people set up hybrid meetings in Zoom.  I very frequently get asked for help screen sharing powerpoints, as the majority of users I help find the interaction to be very confusing.  And indeed, I believe it is unnecessarily cumbersome in 2 major ways -

1. It is not intuitive to most people that they must put the powerpoint in full screen before sharing if they are using presenter mode while the computer is set to duplicate displays - and even if they aren't, people are often inclined to share the window rather than the screen, since they see the option to select powerpoint and think "oh, that's what I want to share."  The confusion increases when people switch between powerpoint presentations.

2. When using a remote with powerpoint while screen sharing in zoom, if they click on any zoom controls, it's not obvious that they must then click back on the powerpoint to use the remote again.

While I am not a programmer/developer and don't know how feasible these improvements are, I have some suggestions for the zoom team that seem realistic -

Regarding 1:

- If someone screen shares a powerpoint window and then starts their slideshow, zoom should prompt the user and ask if they would like to share the full screen window (with an option to choose a default action).

- Possibly zoom should list options to screen share entire apps before individual windows, which will always share the most recent window that someone has opened or interacted with for that app

- Honestly zoom should probably just always ask if you want to share the full screen powerpoint when the user goes full screen regardless of what screen they selected, because 99% of the time that's the intended use case if they are trying to use powerpoint while screen sharing.

Regarding 2:

- If someone is clicking keys or pressing buttons on a pointer that would normally be used to advance the slide, if they don't have any function in zoom, then zoom should redirect that input to powerpoint window.

- If the above isn't possible, zoom should at least prompt the user so they understand why their powerpoint isn't advancing, possibly giving the option to make that the active window

To any Zoom employees, thank you for reading and if you think these are great ideas and plan to use them, please consider getting zoom to pay me 😏
