I created and advertised a meeting recently. I now have  to edit the meeting description due to a change in a speaker's bio.  When I hit the Edit button, I received a pop-up message that states "Your personal meeting ID is disabled. By saving this meeting, a new meeting ID will be automatically generated."

Does this mean if I edit the description and save it, the new meeting ID will be different than the one I previously advertised and there will be TWO meetings at the same date and time?

Zoom account size" 45K+
We started "monitoring" all meetings that have more than 300 participant connections (not unique user connections, instead the participant count Zoom reports in the API QoS/Call Detail records). On some of those 300+ meetings, we have massive spikes in participant reconnections due to network disconnection errors. To quantify "massive" - sometimes we see 80-100 disconnections in a matter of 1-5 seconds. Disconnects happen for users both working from home and on a corporate managed network... both wired and Wi-Fi.

We have a Zoom support case open, and Zoom has investigated their MMRs - stating there is no issue on the Zoom side.

Are there other large enterprise customers out there who 1) monitor their meetings for network errors, and 2) see massive spikes at times in disconnections due to network errors?

I know we can't control the network end-to-end anymore with the move to cloud based SaaS solutions like Zoom, but this kind of behavior is having a negative impact on the perception of the service for our corporate users.

Difference btw the numbers of participants on the Active Hosts page and CSV file

I'd like to know the actual number of participants(not unique number of users who accessed to the Zoom link) in a Zoom meeting from an admin page > Reports > Usage Reports > Active Hosts.

However the number shown on the list in the page and the total number of participants' names on an exported CSV are different.

e.g.

  • number on the list in an admin page: 275
  • number of names on a CSV file(showing unique users):212
  • number of names on a CSV file(not showing unique users):310

Does anyone know how these reports count the numbers of participants?

Thanks

Hello,

Just got a new Mac (with the new M1 chip)-- and for some reason the audio and speakers do not work once I connect with someone -- even after having tested the audio and speakers. These work on both google meeets and streamyard-- so I reckon it really has something to do with connection to my zoom.

And the audio/ speaker only worked once-- when I tried using it with another friend who has a Mac. Very strange.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Zoom app a few times.

Any other ways to fix this by any chance?

Thanks,

Joanna

I often want to share screen when hosting a meeting and would love to be able to set a few options to be defaults for me.  I realize making those selections only take a little time but...  The two selections I'd love to be able to set are, from the More menu while sharing,  hiding the floating meeting controls and hide/show video panel.

Thanks 🙂

This was posted by a Japanese translator.

My co-host wants to screen share a video in a zoom meeting, but when I select screen share in zoom with the video file stopped playing, it doesn't show up in the selection screen of the application I want to share, there is no "Video" item in the detail tab, and I can't select the file.

What is the possible cause?
