Hi all,

With the latest update to the Zoom app on my Mac, the layout has changed again- where I used to be able to open the app to a page that very easily let me click "start" for a new (unscheduled) meeting with my PMI, now none of the options are as easily accessible. Is there any way to revert back to the old interface or find the page I'm looking for?

This sounds stupid, but as a therapist with many sessions a day, I really just want to be able to open the app and easily click start. Thanks for any advice!

Zoom notifications about new services and AI tools in the meeting home page UI are too frequent, distracting and annoying. Does anyone know how do we can disable them?

We have disabled all the AI features for our organisation and just want to use the base meeting product we pay for. We are not interested in getting spammed about docs and AI assistants and new features constantly while we are trying to schedule meetings.

AFAIK there doesn't seem to be an option to turn off being spammed by the Zoom team in the UI.

Thanks for any info if I've missed some config and if this is baked into the code can a zoom rep address this one?

I am looking for a way to automatically perform and save a transcription of a meeting without the meeting participants recording to the cloud.

Currently, to do a ZOOM transcription

1. record to the cloud

2. manually “Show subtitles” -> “Show full transcript” -> “Save Transcription

There are two ways to do this.

However, there is a person on the team who says “it is fine to do the transcription, but I don't want to record it”, so I would like to save the transcription without recording.

However, if we do so

I forget to press “Show Full Transcript”.

Forget to press “Save Transcriptions” before the meeting is over.

Manual operation is complicated.

So I am looking for a way to automatically perform the transcription and save it when the meeting starts.

Also, as a limitation

I want to run it locally or on-premise.

(I don't want to send the content outside the company like make(integromat) or Zapier)

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to do this.

This is insane. I spent half a day on this but I couldn't fix it.

My Zoom Account is a work email. But, when I sent out a meeting invitation, it took me to my Google account, and ended up using my personal Gmail. The work email is through outlook 365. The work email is a default email with Outlook as well.

This is operated on a Mac with a default browser Safari. How did it take to Google account in the first place?

Then, I checked the calendar setting. I tried "Outlook" calendar, and it did not work. It takes me to a window to "import file". What is that??? Then, I tried "Other" and it took me to Mac's calendar but still couldn't send out an email.

I didn't have this issue until today. I did not change any settings and don't know why it stopped working.

Zoom is incompatible with one of them, Mac, Outlook or Calendar.

Please help and let me know what's wrong with Zoom!

Apparently Zoom just added a "Try new version" slider in the standard meeting scheduling popup accessible from the home screen of the desktop app:

I did not notice this until recently because I'm a Zoom admin and keep myself in a separate user group from the rest of my company, so it happened to be the case that everyone but me got access to this slider.  Anyway, I'd like to disable this slider and keep my users on the "old" version of of the scheduling popup.  I don't like that the new version hides the Meeting ID and Meeting Security options under "More Options", and I also don't like that it gives everyone who doesn't have their calendar connected the above-pictured yellow warning banner.  About 90% of my users don't have a connected calendar, and one of my users so far complained about this banner because they thought it would prevent them from scheduling meetings.

I've scoured the back-end looking for a setting that lets an admin disable this "new" scheduler functionality but couldn't find anything.  Before I bother my account rep, does anyone know if this is possible?

I recently found my browser hijacked, and I ended up ditching my antivirus and malware software and installing Norton 360. The hijacking doesn't exactly seem to be happening anymore, but when I click on a Zoom link the meeting doesn't launch now. Instead, I end up at ww1.us04webzoom.us/?sub1= (etc.) It's labeled as "This website is for sale."

This happens in both Chrome and Firefox, but not in Edge. I can join meetings manually in the Zoom app as well, but I'm very concerned about the Chrome/Firefox behavior. I've done extensive Google searching for answers, cleared browser data, turned off extensions, given Zoom permissions in the Norton control panel, but nothing changes.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Thanks!

On 2 Windows computers the "Use an external calendar" checkbox setting is no longer sticking after installing the latest update to version 6.0.0(37205).  It works when I choose Outlook, but when setting up the next meeting, the checkbox is unselected and I have to select it manually each time.

Is this a bug in this version, or did the update reset some other setting that I need to set to get my "Use an external calendar" checkbox setting to stick?
