I will first say I am not a programmer, but more of a small business owner/configuration person for my systems. I am attempting to use buddy boss on my wordpress site. They show how to connect zoom to it for members to access zoom from within the system.  My problem is this....I have created a JWT application. I can't say I have added a great deal to it, but when I make a gutenberg block in wordpress to be able to add a zoom meeting it shows up. The problem is the countdown timer which changes to join now with ten minutes left per buddy boss, does not look like the buddy boss example, and worse it does not work. I simply get 0D0H0M0S (Day, hour, minute, seconds). 

 


I have looked at zoom settings, various subscriptions in the JWT app environment and I am not seeing anything that jumps out that looks like it is a setting or option. 

 

Can anyone share some advice or links on how to resolve this?

As a Zoom participant, I sometimes get the message that the host has another Zoom meeting in progress. When I check with the Host, they have just commenced our scheduled Zoom meeting and there is no-one in the Waiting Room. The Host and I have checked the meeting details, which are aligned. For context, the Host uses this meeting a number of times each day, with specific scheduled times.  It appears that Zoom believes the earlier meeting instance is still in progress?

Audio sharing

When somebody is playing audio using the "screen sharing/advanced" facility, we've noticed that if a participant speaks, sometimes the audio cuts out (or at least goes much quieter) until they stop, and then is restored after a few seconds; but other times it doesn't seem to do this.
Does anybody know what governs this behaviour? Is it under the host's control?
Obviously sometimes it is desirable, in order that people can be heard; but if you're playing quiet background music, for example, it's much more distracting to have it cutting in and out than it would be to let it play.

Zoom devs unable to edit the CPU requirements field for zoom features.

It's a major problem in the software that doesn't allow the devs to edit the CPU requirements checkbox.

 

If you buy an i5-4590 and an i3-10105, and install zoom on both, and then try to enable the '49 participants' checkbox, the system with the i5 will allow it, while the i3 system will not. Of course, as any competent zoom exec would of course know, the i3 is much more powerful than the i5, and especially in this case because both are quad-core, have the same amount of cache, and the i3 has hyperthreading.

 

Why did you devs build software that doesn't allow you to easily edit the CPU requirements field? Surely if it was, you'd have done it by now to reflect reality. 

 

**If you're somebody other than a zoom exec or dev and reading this and wondering, yes I'm sarcastically mocking them for their dumbfounding decision to gray out entire features simply because they're too scared or lazy to read a spec sheet. The first structural equivalent to the 4590, the i3-8100, came out Q4 of 2017. 20-friggin-17.  The Zoom devs have been ignoring reality for 4 friggin years.

I have attempted to set up a new account using one of our company emails.  I have set up three other accounts that are similar names but have sequential numbers assigned to each of them The first account starts with the name Rxxxx-1@mycompanyname.tv however this first account doesn't seem to send me an activation email.  The other accounts increase in numbers and there is no issue and their activation went through.  Its really important that this first account has the #1 in it.  Any help would be appreciated to solve this issue.
