Resolved! Recording a Presentation

How do I set up a meeting where as host I record someone else's presentation which includes Powerpoint that I will be controlling? Do I spotlight the speaker? How then do i screen share over the speaker?

Mass delete recordings from other users

So here's my situation.  When I look at my own recordings, I can see how many files are included in each one. 1 file is the video, 1 file is the audio, 1 file is the transcript (bc we have the auto transcript function turned on) and 1 file is the chat (if applicable).  I can see that right on the list of all files.

If there are only 2 files, no transcript or chat, it was just an empty file, probably where someone logged in alone and nobody else came for that meeting. No need to keep that recording and take up space against our storage limit.  So I can easily see the ones that only have 2 recordings and mass delete them. We are currently over our limit and I'm looking for ways to easily delete the files that we don't need.

I have admin functions for our company so I can see all recordings from all users. But when I look at their list of recordings, it doesn't show me how many files there are in each recording.  If I click on each individual recording, I can see the files. But is there a way I can see the number of files in the recordings right on the recordings list, and then mass delete them for other users like I'm able to do for myself?  It's going to take SOOOO much time to click thru each individual files.  And I don't want to ask everyone to do like I did and go thru to delete their recordings that only have 2 files, bc they are all swamped w/ other work.

Any suggestions?  TIA!

Change location or size of embedded active speaker video in meeting recording

Hi gang. We record a lot of presentations where the speaker is talking about a shared PowerPoint.  The "Shared screen with active speaker" video recording layout places the active speaker in the upper right hand corner (see https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360025561091-Recording-layouts#h_b91c2338-c2d1-48e8-9571-c8ab6eeb57e4). This can cover up lengthy slide titles or information on some of our more large/complex slides.

Knowing this, we're currently in the process of rethinking our PPT templates to include a content-no-go zone where, if the space is covered, no content is lost. But that only works for PPT. In other applications, such as a browser, it covers the menu. In a Microsoft 365 application, depending on screen resolution, it might cover the Ribbon. And so forth.

Is there a good solution to this problem? Does Zoom allow repositioning of the embedded active speaker video? (Yes, I know I can separately download the active speaker view only and shared screen only and spend hours editing/overlaying/publishing the two. That's just not practical.)

Thanks!

Speaker and Charts - Side By Side

How do you display the active speaker 1/3rd of screen and PowerPoint presentation on the other 2/3rd?

See attached example from another presenter.

Hi there!

We are trying to figure out if a Pro Meeting plan would work for the events we are planning, and can’t really figure out if we actually need to upgrade it to Webinar or not.

We simply need to be able to spotlight two of the people during the event, be able to mark a couple of people as hosts, who can control the spotlighting and recording, record the session, and share the link with the rest of the participants after the event. I understand this can be done with Pro Meetings, right? I know attendee limit is 100, and there’s a limit of 1GB storage on the cloud, but am I missing anything else essential for an online event?

Hi, All,

I met a problem:

1. I have set the dual monitor in the classroom. Main screen is used for teacher, and second screen for Gallery view to show online students.

2. When teacher shares the screen, it works well. The ppt file can display in main screen, and online students in gallery view screen.

3. However, when the students (participants) to share the screen, the ppt file displays in Gallery view screen instead of main screen. Why? Can I change it?

Thanks for any supporting!

Hi everybody,

I use Zoom (Basic) only infrequently.  But several times there was a poll in the meeting and I couldn't participate since I didn't see any polling options (yes/no/whatever). Once it was in a general meeting, once it was a participation control. Both times it was really bothersome not to be able to poll (or prove my participation). I seem to be the only one who can't participate, therefore I think the problem lies with my set-up.

I have quite a tight security set-up at home because my husband is an IT geek... Firewall, Ad-blocker, parental controls etc. Which one do I need to disable?

Hi, I would like to know some information.

How long does it take to lose the account login on the mobile phone?

In a nutshell, when I want to access via mobile on zoom it asks me for a password or biometric recognition to access. What I would like to know, after how long does the account lose the login?

Thank You
