I have scheduled a weekly Zoom meeting. Participants have to register, and I have to approve the registrations.

This worked well for about 5 meetings. For this week's meeting, approved registrants had to enter their data again suddenly. I didn't have to approve the renewed registration though. As soon as they entered their data, they could join the meeting.

Why do approved registrants have to enter their data again?

HI,

I'm running an online summer camp and some participants are joining meetings by by-passing the waiting room.  My settings are set up to enable waiting room, no one can join before the host.  It's random, it's not always the same participants and everyone is using the same link to join the meetings/workshops.

Help!

When I click on registration, email settings and branding, nothing appears anymore. It doesn't even show the registration link anymore. I'm really frustrated because I can't even speak to support about it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Did they remove this feature to try and force users to pay for the webinar feature???

i might add that I have the impression that my downloading of Zoom Client is not functional.

I am using an old Apple Macintosh that the local Apple store modernized it with recent updates.

Thank you.

hi everyone

I have a virtual assistant based in Mexico and one of the things I have her do is use my account to set up meetings on my behalf so I don't have to login to Zoom and do that. But, every time she tries to login lately she is asked to input a code but the code comes to MY email, so then she can't login and it sort of defeats the purpose. Is there a way to verify her device so she can login to my account from her location without having to keep inputting a code every time?

Hi - I broadcast my podcast on YouTube via Zoom, while recording the audio direct from my soundboard (RodeCaster pro). Before we go live, I make sure to match everyone's audio to mine, ensuring we all sound the same using my headphones as well as my level monitor. The recording from the board gets all of our audio the way I hear it - all participants are relatively even and within a workable margin of each other. However, on YouTube, my audio is always much lower than the rest of the people on the call.  I'm not sure why the audio being ran through Zoom is so different from the audio being captured from the board, but hopefully someone can help me out.

Thanks!

I have a usage case that doesn't seem well-handled by the options available for Zoom.

I host monthly club meetings where the participants may optionally sign up for credit for having attended a given session. Receiving credit isn't mandatory, and some participants aren't interested in it.

In order for me to grant credit, I need to collect the user's ID (typically an email address) used on another site (in this case, it's faasafety.gov, but it doesn't matter). I need to do that for each meeting a user attends, per the rules set by the agency that runs that site.

I don't want this question to mandatory, so I don't think I want to use the meeting "registration" function. There are plenty of people who attend but never seek out credit, and that's fine.

The people who attend are encouraged to participate actively in the meeting, so "webinar" format doesn't apply well, either, unless (I guess) I make everyone a presenter.

Today, my error-prone method is to find the meeting report (which is oddly hard to find; always at least 10 clicks away), and then try to match up the user name with the account on that other site. It's error-prone because often the names differ -- the value Zoom reports provide is often a nickname, or just the first name, or a spouse's name on a shared computer, or something else. (I can't begin to count the number of times I've tried to give just "Bob" credit for attending. Unfortunately for Bob, there's more than one pilot with that first name, so he just never gets his credit.)

That's not great. And I often get follow-up email or phone calls from folks confused about why they're not getting credit.

So, what I want is an OPTIONAL question that's asked for everyone joining the meeting, something like:

If you'd like WINGS credit for attending, please provide your WINGS ID and ZIP code.

WINGS ID/email: [                    ]   ZIP Code: [.....]

Leave these blank if you don't need credit.

Hello, I recently updated Zoom and now I can't screen share.  I'm following these directions that I'm finding online...On Macs, you need to go to System Preferences, Privacy and Security, click on the [ Privacy ] tab, choose 'Screen Recording' on the left side and add the application Zoom  here. All screen sharing apps must be added under the Screen Recording privacy section.

But in the Privacy settings under Screen Recording, the "Zoom" option is grayed out and I can't click on it to enable Zoom. I've tried reinstalling Zoom, restarting the computer, all the tricks I can think of...any ideas?
