Just tried to organise a zoom meeting using my personal ID.

When I connected using the ap on my phone it brought up a box that said:

"The meeting does not support dial in or Call me to join.  You cannot connect to the audio.  OK"

I then connected from my laptop and got audio but the first participant then messaged me to say he could not connect audio.

We gave up and switched to an alternate platform.

I searched around in the settings and could not find anything that seemed to control this

Can someone at Zoom look at this, as support options to involve Zoom personnel are non-existent.
So the basic problem is that Zoom settings offers a Notification of 5minutes out from a meeting. other options are 10 and 15min.
but joining a meeting 5 minutes early is not ideal.

then when the notification pops it then disappears within a few seconds (this could be a Mac issue).

irrespective...
there should be at least 0 minute option or even 1 or 2 minute options to have that notification pop.
and ideally the notification stays on the screen.

If there is a fix please advise, but I assume there isn't otherwise it would probably already be obvious.

Next Question: where does a user suggest a feature change like this? There seems to be no support options relating to "Ideas"

Is it possible to enable all Board members to schedule meetings using their own computer and the president's account ?

I already have a zoom account but I am using my teacher's link to sign into his class. It joins with my name and my original zoom account photo but it isn't using my original zoom account name and there are sounds for every time a classmate joins or leaves our class that I cannot turn off and it is driving me nuts. Where do you think these settings can be? I tried to access my zoom account through my school link and it made me create a new account with my student email that has nothing to do with the account I am currently using. Thank you.

Hi,

I would like to use Zoom in a performance of moving musicians/clients remotely connected with a host operating  as a central hub.

I need to process the audio stream of each musician/client independently by routing it into different virtual audio channels/devices such as those provided by Rogue Amoeba’s Loopback.
The most trivial solution would be to have one hosting computer for each musician/client and then routing the audio output of each into a DAW controlled by another computer. This solution is going to be quite expensive in term of hardware and licences.
Another solution would be to consider each musician hosting an independent meeting. Then, I might use the hub-computer as a client with the “join different meetings simultaneously on desktop” option to switch between the different musicians/hosts audio streams. Still, I would need a licence for each musicians. And moreover, Zoom won’t let me route the audio of each meeting into a different virtual audio channel/device.
Any hints on the issue?
Thank you.

Hi there, here's our scenario:

-Monthly business meeting of a volunteer fire company

-one head table with 6 people

-"audience" of 20-35 in a general seating area facing the head table

-Zoom meetings (paid license)

-laptop at head table hooked up to room A/V system with an overhead projector and ceiling-mounted speakers

-3 USB microphones (one in a webcam) connected to the laptop; 2 of the mics are omnidirectional mounted on stands (on in front of the head table; one in the center of the seating area)

-Voiceemeter  "Banana" USB mixing software on the laptop (Win10)

-5 to 10 remote zoom participants

I've been trying for months, and can't get the audio correct.  Biggest issue I have is that if I try to turn the mics up to a level where the remote people can hear, we start getting echoes from the other mics in the room.  The room audio (overhead speakers) is the Zoom output, so I don't believe it's feedback from the omnis->zoom->overhead speakers, since I believe advanced echo cancellation should handle this (thinking the way it works is that it doesn't broadcast audio input  from a zoom user to that same user's audio out).

So the external people usually have a hard time hearing what's going on "in the room", and the recordings are usually fairly lousy too.  (I guess part of the problem is that anyone in the "audience" can speak at any time, and of course people are all at vastly different distances from the mics) Anybody have any ideas how I can solve this- hardware, software, other?  I don't think switching to XLR mics with an external mixer would help.  Is there such a thing as a mixer (hardware or software) that does echo cancellation on its inputs?

Thanks!

participants recording

I work as an admin assistant, so i create a lot of zoom links for other people that I won't be attending.  Is there any way I can set the Zoom settings to allow any meeting participant to record, even if they are not a host or cohost?
