I use a bit of an oddball setup - Arch Linux with KDE Plasma on Wayland, with Pipewire for audio. I'm using the zoom AUR package (version 5.12.9-1 as of opening this issue, but it's been happening since at least 5.8.x). Most of the time when I join a meeting the client will briefly display the grid of video feeds, sometimes I get a fraction of a second of audio, and then the client crashes. Sometimes it does work, and then it works fine, but that's after the initial join. Which usually doesn't work until the third or fourth or sometimes ninth try. Which sucks. It's especially annoying in meetings with a waiting room, where I have to wait in the waiting room only to be let in and then the client crashes. If anyone knows a workaround for this, I'd greatly appreciate it. (Switching to X11 is not an option.) I've reproduced this on at least two distinct Arch systems and it's been happening for at least six months on both, so I don't think this is a hardware issue. I've gathered a core dump and a stack trace, which might be useful for the more technically inclined.

I am trying to figure out how to show and go over a file with a client that I have saved in my document folder. I am not sure how this is done. Can anyone assist me?
I transcribe my meetings from ForTheRecord software and utilize a foot pedal to do it. However, it will only take MP3 recordings, not the MP4. Sometimes Zoom sends them to me in the correct format, but I have received the MP4 format. What can I do to make it MP3? Is there anyone out there that has had this problem?

I am new to zoom. I set up a meeting and get a message at the start that the meeting is being recorded. I can't figure out how to turn off the recording of meeting. Can someone explain how to do this?
Help! My teacher made me the host and I hit record to the cloud, because she has a paid for account while I have a free one. However, the recording is no where to be found. She checked in her cloud recordings since she was the original host, but nothing is there. I have nothing in mine either. Where is the recording? Is it lost? Whose cloud is it in? Can it be found?

Hi, for some reason the voice of all speakers is heavily distorted (crackling sounds). The volume is not very high and this problem is limited to Zoom only. Every other app is working just fine (MS Teams, Discord, Google Meet, etc). I'm using a USB sound card "Creative SoundBlasterX G6" and a "Beyerdynamic MMX300" headset connected to it (via cable). No bluetooth involved. I already played with all available audio settings in Zoom - without success. Sometimes the problem fixes itself for a while when I change the bitrate of the speaker/headset in Windows. Any ideas? This basically makes Zoom useless for me.

After installing 5.13.4 today, a BIG change has occurred when launching meetings. Formerly (even with 5.13.3) I was able to launch a meeting by clicking on the meeting specific URL I'd entered into my calendar. Now, that DOES NOT WORK. When I encountered this, I logged into my account via a browser (Brave, which is Chromium based), went into my listed meetings, and attempted to start the meeting from there. That too, DID NOT WORK. The only way I'm now able to launch a previously scheduled (recurring) meeting, it to go into the zoom app, and launch from there. Here's a loom to illustrate the behavior of 5.13.4 https://www.loom.com/share/b713af077ce74251809d0abf1134c1d3

I'm working on a Mac and saving Zoom recordings locally (as we have to). Each folder that contains the CONVERTED recording (it automatically converts when the meeting ends) also contains 3 files named: double_click_to_convert_01.zoom double_click_to_convert_02.zoom double_click_to_convert_03.zoom Depending on the size of the meeting, they can be HUGE! The meeting has already converted, and is saved as: zoom_0.mp4 What are those files for? Can I somehow automatically delete them? A colleague - using Windows - says that his automatically delete once it's converted. Is this a Mac setting issue? Or a Zoom setting issue? Can anyone shed any light for me?
