Hello!
I'm trying to record zoom meetings on my phone app, but there is no record option anywhere! I've searched on youtube and where it shows that the app has the record feature, it is not there for me!

I have an iPhone 14 and made sure to check that the app is updated, which it is. I just have a basic account, but this is possible on a PC. Is it possible to record a zoom meeting I'm hosting from my phone using a basic account? If so, can someone please help me troubleshoot? If not, what kind of account do I need?

Thank you so much!

Hello

During one recent Zoom meeting I was hosting, my camera failed half way through.  Attendees reported that my picture froze and then, when I tried turning my camera off and on again, no picture appeared.  I could see attendees throughout.

I'm using Windows 11.  I've pasted what I assume to be the relevant entry from the Windows Event Viewer below.  Can anyone see any info here that could help me understand what happened and whether it's likely to happen again?  Many thanks, James

Hi All!

I am trying to help one of our customers that was originally using Zoom for Windows 5.9.7.3931; however, after attempting to upgrade to Version 5.13.7, Zoom always re-directs to the web browser and will not the Windows client.

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Device: Dell 7440 Latitude
  • Browsers: Chrome and Edge

When downloading 5.13.7 and running the installation, they see the "Join a Meeting" modal showing version

Version: 5.9.7 3931.

Zoom_01.png

Then, whenever they join or start a Zoom meeting, they see the following and directed to the the web client.

They have already performed the following:

  • Uninstalled Zoom
  • Updated Chrome and Edge
  • Cleared cookies and cache from the browsers

Has anyone seen an issue like this before? It seems like something is corrupt, but not quite certain what angle to take on this.

Thanks for any help!

While been a Host I can share two screens but when I'm done with one of the screens I can't stop sharing the screen that I done with, stop sharing stops both of the screens, if that the way it works or I missing something.

Thanks

Dear Community,

I am a registered user of Zoom.  I would like to invite people to a scheduled, Zoom meeting.

Could you tell me how I could do that, please?

Additionally, one of the people who I want to invite has a strange e-mail address, with a domain name I haven't heard of before.  How do I invite them, please?

Would be very grateful for any constructive answers,

After spending quite a bit of time trying to get an improvement idea across to Zoom's technical team, I again seem to be unable to get a response.
Your technical support services are clearly underfunded by Zoom.
While your staff are polite and helpful to the best of their abilities, they are limited by the structure of your company.
It has been my pleasure to host and co-host many Zoom meetings over the past two and a half years.
In the past, there were as many as 184 people at one time, now there are about 80 people.
In your system, the guest speaker, who speaks for about 30 minutes, has to be dragged to position one by the person (some don't even know how to do this). After the speaker talks, the people are asked to raise their hands to share back.
Many people raise their hands before the speaker finishes. Once one hand is raised, the screens are frozen in place and cannot be moved.
Will the individual who raised their hand also appear before the main speaker? Multiple hands raised move the main speaker further out of the way in each case.
This also means people on smaller devices can not even see the speaker anymore.???
My advice to Zoom which was already given some time ago and NOT! listened to is:
1. Have the facility to pin the speaker in small size i.e. the same as the 25 frames one sees on a laptop. Being pinned in 1st place is what we want! as they are the main focus of any and all meetings. If the raised hand sharers appear AFTER the main speaker and Not! before as they currently do this would go a long way to help.
2. If you were to include an enable and disable raise hand function the host could then turn on allowing raised hands at the CORRECT! timing.
Thanks for any help and hope someone can improve the current mess.
Please do not suggest that we pay money for any webinar products as our meetings are charitably given. Also do not please repeat that I can spotlight people as that also does not work as the spotlighted individual takes over most of the screen and many of our visitors then have no idea how to return to gallery view. It would then become a mess.
Thanks again in Advance

I just bought the Shure MV88+ to use for remote viewing / recording of a rehearsal via Zoom, but I can't get Zoom to send audio from this device in stereo, despite double checking all the settings.

I have a Pro plan and have enabled stereo audio in the user meeting settings, and also globally under the admin settings.

The MV88+ microphone records in stereo on iOS and Android, and is also supported for recording in stereo on PC and Mac.  It looks like a USB input device with 2 channels of input and output, in 16 or 24 bit, and sampling rates of 44.1 or 48 kHz.  A test recording on the Mac in Audacity confirms the stereo signal is good.  You can actually connect a pair of headphones to a jack on the back of the microphone and monitor the mic itself, and any audio from the PC / Mac that is routed to the Shure MV88+.

Using the Shure MOTIV app, I've configured the MV88+ to the following specifications: +25 dB gain, stereo pickup (120º), light compression, and 75Hz high-pass.

In the Zoom app, I've set the following:

Original sound for musicians

- [x] High Fidelity music mode

- [  ] Echo cancellation

- [x] Stereo audio

After the meeting starts, I select the MV88+ mic as the input, then click the "Original Sound" button in the top left corner of the screen.  (FYI, Zoom **changed** a default setting in November 2022 so you have to enable original sound every time you start a meeting or even when changing microphones.)

After doing all this, I join the meeting from another computer and listen to the audio.  The received audio still sounds mono.

My test signal is some classical choral music played through a hi-fi stereo receiver.  The speakers are Klipsch RP-600M and I've boosted the midrange (1-8 kHz) to help bring out the voices some more.  The MV88+ microphone is set up on a table about 4 feet away, pointing at the receiver with the speakers on either side, with the volume turned up fairly high (~75dB SPL).  Zoom shows a strong signal on the microphone icon from the host Mac.  The guest Mac is with me on the other side of the house.  I've checked it with wired USB headphones and also AirPods Pro.  There's just no stereo spread to the sound; it's clearly mono.

I honestly think this is a Zoom bug.

Has anyone else tried a stereo USB microphone like the AKG Lyra or other products with Zoom meetings?
