Switching Audio Sources in Teams Using Only the Volume Settings from the Task Bar

Hi Zoom Community,

I have a user that's wondering if there's a way to have their Zoom program for their Windows 10 OS automatically adjust the user's audio input and output device in Zoom to whatever the user selects in the volume settings in the task bar vs. needing to manually change the audio input and output device in Zoom each time there's a change in the audio devices connected (see attachment for picture of the volume settings icon that I'm referencing).

As an example, if the user plugs in their headset, they want to select their headset in the Volume settings & that will change the settings in Zoom to the headset for input and output. I told the user that I wasn't aware of a way to do this with 100% reliability, but I thought I would ask just in case. My understanding is our best chance would be to use the "Same as the System" option, but I'm assuming that's not 100% reliable.

I have been encountering an issue with the Zoom breakout rooms. In all cases, I have been setting the rooms so that all pre-assigned participants are automatically moved to the breakout rooms when I open them.

However, I have noticed that when I open the rooms, some of the participants will be moved into the rooms, but will immediately return to the main session. (They're not returning on purpose, it seems like they'll join the rooms for 1 second before getting automatically moved back for whatever reason).

In some cases, they don't even get moved to the rooms at all, even though it's their first time being assigned to a room during the meeting.

Has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone know of a potential fix to this?

Hello!

Wondering if Zoom would consider building a 64-bit ARM64 version of the Zoom application for the Raspberry Pi OS - full 64-bit version was just released, Debian-based so hopefully not a huge stretch.  There are currently ways to get Zoom running on a Pi, but performance and feature-set suffer - the best I've been able to manage so far is running Ubuntu for RPi and running Zoom in the Chromium browser - it works, kind of, but a bit slow and awkward.

From a use-case standpoint - the Pi is a cheap (~$40 USD) and small unit, with the addition of a wireless keyboard/mouse combo like a Logitech K400+ and a USB webcam/microphone you could easily transform any TV or projector to a Zoom station - think churches, schools, meeting halls, etc.  Being able to run the actual app rather than running in a browser would make it very easy to setup a dedicated kiosk-like setup in these types of areas to facilitate Zoom meetings without having to lug in a full computer.

I use Airpods  (standard, not pro) on Windows 10 in meetings with Zoom for Government. No problems pairing and establishing audio through the Airpods for a meeting. When Airpod battery starts to run low, I put one Airpod in the charger and continue the meeting using the other. However, when I remove the Airpod from the charger (with the other still in my ear) the meeting audio drops immediately, every time. On normal phone calls or Skype meetings or MS Teams meetings I can continue charging one Airpod and using the other, switching every 15 minutes or so, indefinitely. Is this a known problem (I didn't see any reports), is there a work-around, and is there a real fix in work?
