Mac Desktop Unable to connect
Hi all -
I recently have not been able to connect on Mac via the desktop app. I can use my phone and iPad apps. But not the desktop. Has anyone had any issues like this?

I did a test meeting with myself and can choose an avatar, however, it does not show on the meeting screen. Can someone help me out? Thank you.
We have set up regular meetings, but they don't appear on the list. The same thing has happened twice, is there a solution?
How many of you have actually used the "trim" function of Zoom Cloud Recordings? I've looked at all the support docs I can find (just this one!) and apparently everything you do requires a mouse to click or drag. Editing a 2 hour recording to get the just the right start and end points is virtually impossible. There's no reason in today's environment that some sort of keyboard-based editing commands can't be implemented to ease the pain of getting it just right. I've made a feature request/low priority support ticket asking for the following as a bare minimum: (I did find out through trial and error that pressing the left-right arrow keys will move the playhead 10 seconds backward or forward.) Anyone else have other suggestions? These would make a great start, and make me very happy. Something any Zoom user can make use of... it doesn't have to be fancy. I don't expect a full implementation of Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or Davinci Resolve, but prepping the recordings from 5 days of webinars has been SO time-consuming and painful. My workflow will mostly continue to be downloading files and editing in Premiere Pro, but I would like the client to have a reasonable "interim version" to watch... one that doesn't give me a headache just trying to trim the pre- and post-roll off.

Hi So I'm using Flatpak Zoom with KDE. Zoom wouldn't allow me to use the screenshare function unless I use the XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=gnome environment variable, which from what I know is the check for the old implementation where the app uses a Hack in Mutter (Gnome compositor) to do screen share. Since now it's done via pipewire with xdg desktop portal, having Gnome or this environment variable as a requirement is unnecessary and affect the ease of use of Zoom for users with other Wayland Desktop. Please Fix

If I create a meeting and go to teach a course, can students use third-party programs to record the computer screen? If any student uses a third-party program to record the screen or similar, does zoom notify me that someone is recording the lesson? Thank you

Am I correct in my understanding that recordings are kept in the cloud as long as I have a paid account (unless I have a setting for automatic deletion after a certain time frame)? I have been under the impression that this is the case, however, someone that recently signed up for zoom is telling me that recordings will only stay in the cloud for 30 days. Please confirm. Thank you.
