Hi Team,

there is a new Release for VMware Horizon Client available since christmas.
This release (https://customerconnect.omnissa.com/downloads/details?downloadGroup=CART25FQ4_WIN_2412&productId=1562&rPId=118884)  got renamed from VMware to Omnissa. This also impacted the installed path location on Windows device.

"C:\Program Files\Omnissa\Omnissa Horizon Client\horizon-client.exe"

If you now want to installed the Zoom VDI plugin it will not detected anymore the installed "VMware Horizon Client". So Zoom VDI optimatization can't be used in a Horizon VDI environment.

Is Zoom already working on a new release to support the lastest Omnissa Client for Windows?

Thanks a lot,
Eric

For big conferences, I am currently using the Caption API to display subtitles and would like each participant to be able to switch them to their preferred language. Because the Caption API has a “lang” parameter, I tried sending translated subtitles using different “lang” values. However, Zoom displays all of those subtitles for each language simultaneously. Is there any solution?

Hello

I have been using Zoom successfully for the last 18 months at home.

2 days ago I started having the problem where all other people are a black screen.  I can see myself but can't see others (when their video is turned on).

This is the same problem across different devices (mac, android, PC)

Same problem with different meetings in different parts of the country

This is the same problem is wired or wireless.

Same problem if I log in using different accounts.

The statistics page shows severe packet loss on the Video -> Receive side (like 80% to 99%). See screenshot

All my other programs such as Netflix function fine

Speed tests are fine.

Of note however is: the problem goes away when I don't go through my router at home. I tested tethering to my mobile phone hotspot and the problem is resolved (albeit a very slow connection given the nature of my mobile reception).

I have updated the firmware in my router and tested with my ISP to check if there is problem with my actual internet connection. All ok from what they can see.

Would value anyone's feedback and potential workarounds.

Regards

I hosted and recorded a meeting last night. The audio visual recorded and downloaded just fine, the chat also downloaded. There were 10 documents shared with participants in the chat, those are showing in my Zoom Workspace above my recording but when I try and download them I receive "Download Failed" error message. I cannot even open the documents to view them. In the past, items that have been shared via chat have come over with the chat download, these did not. I am really needing these documents, any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I also reported this as a problem.

I have created a group in Zoom to restrict AI Companion for Workplace to a specific group.  It doesn't look like I can do the same for Meetings.  It only seems I can enable or disabled AI Companion for Meetings for the whole organization.

Is that correct?  Does anyone know if that functionality is upcoming?

Thanks in advance!

Zoom market’s itself as being fully compliant and accessible. I am deaf and rely on captions. I am unable to have captions without the host of a meeting allowing them or the host nominating someone else. There is no incentive for me or for other deaf people to pay for a licence as video meetings are inaccessible whether we pay or not.

I currently attend language lessons and have been since September and the tutor is struggling to understand how to enable captions. They must be a host as the lessons are two hours long.  I have neither the time or ability to talk them through what to do. I have read all of the forum posts I can find to see if I pay for an account whether that will give me the ability to have captions whether the host is capable or willing or not. It seems not.

When is it going to be possible to get captions on Zoom ?  Will Zoom stop marketing itself as fully accessible until it enables captions for all users.

When sharing computer audio the participants hear a loud hissing sound.  It does change with the sound/music being shared, but it is still mostly static.  This is true with audio from a video, just amazon music, and even just system sounds.  The system sounds end up sounding like an electric guitar but change in tone similar to the sound itself so this seems to be a bitrate/sampling problem or something.

Feel like I've tried everything.  Similar issues can be found back to 2021 with the biggest solution back then to downgrade to 5.6 which is now too old and an upgrade is forced as soon as that version starts.

* I've disabled all audio enhancements in windows 11

* Tried 16 and 24 bits

* Removed dolby effects and realtek console

* confirmed I have the latest audio drivers

* tried both the mono and stereo options in zoom

* tried the different audio options in zoom (though most of those seem geared towards the mic)

* upgraded to the latest updates for windows 11

I have a brand new lenovo p1 with windows 11:
