During our recent meeting to discuss the new Atlas Desert Tours project, we ran into some unfortunate technical difficulties that hindered our progress. The video call lagged significantly, slowing down the conversation and limiting what we could accomplish.

 

I wanted to check whether others have dealt with similar virtual meeting issues. Could the lag be due to unstable internet connections, limitations of the conferencing platform, or other factors? Getting to the bottom of this will be key to ensuring smooth communications as we advance the Atlas Desert Tours launch.

 

Please share any advice or troubleshooting suggestions based on your own experiences. Identifying a solution is crucial for productive online collaboration as we move forward. Your insights on this issue are much appreciated!

Screen Sharing

I'm unable to share my screen during a meeting.It says 'You are restricted from sharing screen when external participants are present'. I'm the host of the meeting.But other participants in the meeting are perfectly able to share their screen. Show more

I have a zoom account I paid for. I used it yesterday. Today I could not use my app. When I tried to sign in, it said I was using a device from a place I had never used before ( the same computer and network I used yesterday), so they sent me a verification code. I entered that and got the message that I needed to update my app and should contact my IT manager. But I am in my own home, I am not a company, and I have no IT manager (of course). So I called support. In order to get support they wanted some Zoom id number which, of course, is inside the app I cannot open or update. With twenty years of software development and system support behind me, I can say this is the most user hostile support I have ever seen. Can anyone out there help?

I run hybrid Zoom meetings and we've previously had someone remotely start the recording while I run the meeting in the room. That person is no longer available to run the recording. I was curious if I start the recording in the room, and we have a brief internet outage, whether the recording will continue or does it need to be restarted? Should I have someone with a stronger internet connection remotely start the meeting, or does it even matter? Since we are streaming the meeting in the room, the overall quality of the video is already dependent on the room internet. Nothing I can do about that. But if the recording isn't going to be disrupted by something that happens in the room, then I won't bother to try and find a new volunteer to run the recording remotely.

No Audio on Youtube when I share (even if I click on share sound)

When I'm on zoom and I share my screen and go to youtube, the receiving party cannot hear the audio even if I click on the "share sound" box.
