(Not sure if Collaboration tools is the right topic but system seemed to suggest that.  The real topic is the same as the post subject.)

Suddenly 1/30/23 while traveling to my dad's funeral and trying to zoom the proceedings to relatives around the world zoom desktop client refuses to open.  I tried creating my own meeting, i tried having someone else invite me to the meeting, i tried re-installing zoom, nothing worked. The pop up comes up saying 'Open zoom launcher' and clicking the button dismisses the window, but then nothing happens.  Same result by trying to open the desktop app directly.  Same result everytime since then i have tried to join a meeting.  Same result by logging into my account and creating a new meeting and trying to start the meeting.  Nothing!  Went thru all the suggestions of the chatbot including deleting the data folder in the User App Data folder.  Nothing works.  Works fine on a different computer set up essentially the same way.

TIA

Jim

How to leave reactions up on screen, AND how to have multiple reactions?

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to have multiple reactions at the same time (e.g., a thumbs up and a happy face), and how to leave the reactions up rather than have them disappear?

Thank you!

Something has changed - now when a participant switches his video off, you cannot see him unless you

switch on the participants list.  -  its useful to know that a participant has switched his camera off and is still listening to whats going on, and for the host to know he is still logged on.

Anything I can do ?

Hey 🙂

I downloaded the Kahoot app a few months ago and I want to use it soon.

In a Zoom meeting, I clicked on the Kahoot app but all of a sudden it says that I can't authorise the app and it only gives me the option to decline.

How do I fix this?

I'm 5 months in to my first year of the Zoom Meetings Pro plan.

Thanks!

I have a Zoom One Pro account - for some reason, when I try and add a simple video filter, the message comes up saying it is disabled and to go to settings. I've looked but cannot find out why it is disabled. Also, for some reason, even though I am the "owner", I cannot find out why I am not an "admin". From what I've read, only Admin's can access the video filters. I may be mistaken in all this, but your help would be greatly appreciated. Cannot find out where I can make myself an Admin.....

Hi all,

We have just upgraded our Salesforce
Zoom app/package (V1) after JWT authentication getting deprecated.

Apart from the “standard” functionality of the app/package, we also have a few “manual” API calls in our Apex code (e.g. fetching registrants for a meeting via `/meetings/[meeting_id]/registrants` etc.).

For these API calls we used to authenticate by generating the JWT token from the fields zoom_app__Zoom_API_Secret__c and zoom_app__Zoom_API_Key__c which are stored in the Salesforce org as part of the app/package config.

Now that the app/package is authorized via OAuth, is there a way to use that existing authorization in the “manual” API calls made from Apex?

If not, what is the recommended way to authorize these manual API calls?

Many thanks!
Roko

I host a Zoom meeting, and when I share a YouTube video of my edited sample of wall artwork, my client can hear the vocals but not the music that I used in the video.

I am looking for a solution to this problem. The issue is the same when showing the video while sharing the screen. When I screen shared and enabled audio, my client could only hear the singer's voice and not the music. This is an issue I've never encountered before. Any insights or help would be greatly valued.

Hi all,

Hope this is the right forum for this question.

I have been conducting Zoom calls (with both video and audio) using just the computer speakers and microphone.  In an effort to stop disturbing the family as much with my calls, I bought a set of Bose QuietComfort 45 noise cancelling headphones such that at least the family would not have to listen to the other participants speaking over the computer speakers.  However, because these are true over the ear headphones, during the one time I tried them out, I found myself speaking louder than usual as obviously the ear muffs dampen the noise.  It was like I was calibrated to hearing myself speak at a certain level and therefore wanted to speak even louder so I could hear myself at the same level.  Is this just something one has to get used to?  In other words, learning to speak at a lower volume knowing that you are being heard OK on the other end?  I found it really missed with my brain having these headphones on and my voice was a bit strained at the end of the call.  I got the headphones over against any of the "in the ear" devices where I understand you can just get away with only wearing one, but I despise these devices that you have to insert into your ear.  One thing I should note, is that I did have the noise cancelling feature on which may have made my own voice even more muffled to me, BUT from what I understand, NC headphones don't do much towards dampening voices, but rather constant frequency noises like engines etc.  Any input appreciated.
