Insufficient time alotted for class meetings

I registered with my University email to teach courses; the account is only allowing 40 minutes, however, my classes are 2 hours and 15 minutes. Any suggestions of correcting this?

Losing Zoom Screen when I stop sharing

I teach and ESL course to adults with Saddleback College.  I teach on Zoom on my Mac.

 

I am constantly losing view of my Zoom participants and Zoom tool bar, usually this happens when I stop sharing a screen.  I still hear the audio in my meeting, but I do not see the participants and tool bar.  Then I must go to my Zoom camera icon, right click, and click "Show in Finder"  so that they reappear.  

This is a constant problem - for some reason it didn't happen in my Monday meeting, but then continued on Tues, Wed., and today Thursday, 9/1.

 

I appreciate any help!

Hi! I accidentally clicked educator account while trying to sign in with my gmail. Zoom now prompts me to fill up information making me unable to sign in. Is there any way to disable this so I can just have a regular Zoom account again? I am currently using a different email to post this.

I saw another post about this and they had a ticket number set up for support to contact them. Thank you for your assistance and hope this problem could be resolved soon.

See participants using chat in breakout rooms

Currently we are able to see students using their camera and/or mic in their breakout rooms. The other day I notice that camera was off and their mics were off yet they were able to complete the work assigned. When I asked them about it they said that they were sharing their ideas via chat. So my question is, is there a way to see when students are chatting in their breakout rooms similar to the camera and mic? Maybe an ABC symbol will pop up while they are typing similar to the screen that pops up when they share a screen. Anyone know if this is possible? Any ideas would be helpful.

Hello THank you for your service.

 

I'm a teacher of South Korea.

 

My account was originally educator account so I got free upgrade and could have a class more than 40 min.

 

But Yesterday when I tried  online class, I and my students shut off after 40 min. 

 

I tried to find out solution so checked up educator section but it didn't work. 

 

I have to have online classes for a week due to Covid quarantine. Please help me. Thank you.

Hi,

 

I was accidentally clicked the educator account when i was doing the sign-up process. I didn't actually intend to have that and wanted to stick with a personal account. But I couldn't go back and restart the whole process. Now I can't log into my account. It was stuck in the education account activation page (attached the screenshot below). I seem to have no way to access my account.  Now I have to use another email address to log in for help. And I have to host a meeting next week using that account. Please help me out ASAP. Thank you so much!

Automated captions in French (or any other language than English)?

Hi!

 

Sommaire en Français : Nous voulons les transcriptions automatisées en Français pour des raisons d'accessibilité.

 

Are there any plans for the automated live transcriptions (or even for recordings) to be available in other languages than English? The Otter.ai integration works really well when the spoken language is English, but we can't use it in our French language University. Accessibility is a major concern for us. 

 

Also, not to put any pressure on, but MS Teams is about to release live transcription in French soon, so it makes it hard for us to recommend Zoom over MS Teams to our 50K+ user base.
