Is there a way to get messages in Team Chat desktop app that are bookmarked to show up like they do in the phone app? In the phone app, if I'm looking at a chat message that has been bookmarked, the bookmark icon shows up next to the message. In the desktop app, that same message does not have that icon and I can't tell what has been bookmarked unless I look at my Bookmarks. Would love to have that icon.

Why can't I see a message sent by someone in a group of 7 people, but other people can see it?

 

In a workgroup, the messages from April 4 have disappeared, but the ones from before and after are there. I am the only one who cannot see this message posted in a text group of 7 people. How is this possible? I restarted everything, tried reconnecting, but nothing. I have a colleague who sent me a screenshot, showing that he can see this message and I still do not see it on my side.

Pourquoi ne puis-je pas voir un message envoyé par quelqu'un dans un groupe de 7 personnes, mais d'autres personnes peuvent le voir ?

Dans un groupe de travail, les message du 04/04 ont disparu, mais ceux d'avant et après sont là. Je suis le seul qui ne peut voir ce message posté dans un groupe textuel de 7 personnes. Comment est-ce possible ? J'ai tout redémarré, tentez la reconnexion, mais rien. J'ai un collègue qui m'a envoyé une capture, montrant qu'il peut voir ce message et je ne le vois toujours pas de mon côté.

I’m Kimaya Kapoor, and I hope you’re all doing well! I’m reaching out to the community for some assistance regarding issues I’ve been experiencing with the Zoom team chat feature. I believe that many of us use this tool regularly, so I’m sure there’s a wealth of knowledge out there.

Here are a few questions I have:

  1. Notification Settings: I’ve noticed that I sometimes miss messages in team chat. What notification settings do you recommend to ensure I don’t overlook important updates?

  2. Message Threading: Is there a way to better organize conversations in Zoom team chat? Do you have any tips for keeping discussions on track and easily accessible?

  3. File Sharing: I’ve had some trouble with sharing files smoothly in chat. Have any of you faced similar issues, and what solutions have you found?

  4. Integration with Other Tools: I’m curious if anyone has successfully integrated Zoom team chat with other applications. What tools have you connected, and how has that improved your productivity?

I have found two discussions on this topic:

In each of these, the Zoom support representative said to right-click in the Chat box, then click the "Substitutions" menu to disable these, making it seem quite simple.  Every reply on both of these threads pointed out that there is no "Substitutions" menu when you right-click anywhere in Zoom Team Chat.  Then a vague "just fix it in your operating system" comment was added with no instructions or information as to what they may have meant.

 

I use Team Chat for internal discussions at my company, which offers IT services.  I must be able to type certain characters or type certain things in certain ways to make sure I am communicating accurately based on the way my services work and I can not currently do this.

 

Please provide instructions for turning off all automatic text changes.  I must have the option to type exactly what I want to type when I want to type it.

 

I do notice that this forum does NOT use any auto correction or auto formatting.  I can type something and it stays that way.  Why does the support portal have a better chat system than the chat system itself?

Starred Contacts/Channels are not saved Chromebook PWA App

When starring a contact or chat channel inside the Chromebook PWA Zoom app and then closing and reopening the app, the starred items are no longer starred.

Email Enabled Chat Channels on Zoom for Chromebook PWA

Currently within the Zoom for Chromebook PWA app any chat channel that receives email messages are displayed as an unsupported type of message.

 

Is there any development being made to make this become compatible in the PWA app? Thanks 

Can not find team chat tab.

I am the owner of the account and unable to locate the team chat tab on the home page.  How do I get into the team chat admin page?

I have a user report an issue where all the deleted user team chats keep appearing in his DM and Chat channels. There is no option to remove them except to clear chat history in their in-app settings nor the admin center.

We seem to be able to create a folder and move them there, but that isn't an ideal solution.
