A customer has asked if they can enable MFA on the Zoom Room service account for M365 calendaring.

I don't think it's officially supported as there is nowhere to add the MFA token to the room so although you may be able to authenticate the web portal, the room won't be able to check for meetings.

If MFA is mandatory, then my recommendation would be to add the MFA to the service account, and then create a Conditional Access policy for excluding the IP address of the Zoom Room / Zoom Cloud service.

Thoughts/comments are welcome.

Hi all,

Since the latest Zoom Rooms update with one particular Poly setup in our organization, the Poly bar shows a "This room is not available" error after getting connected.

The Poly bar is connected by a Poly touch panel, which occasionally (also since the update) show error 5003: "Configure your Zoom Rooms on the Zoom web portal and try again" or "Cannot connect to Zoom Rooms".

The strange thing is that, all of our certs are valid and the Zoom web portal shows the Room as online. Everything is up-to-date, so we aren't sure what the problem is. We've also ensured that the switch that the Poly bar and touch panel are connected to is not stuck behind a VLAN that requires manual MAC registration, so it is connected directly to the Internet.

Another strange thing, is after a random number of power cycles of the whole unit, the touch panel will connect to the Zoom Rooms app where you can create a new meeting, join one, etc but the Poly bar will show the same "This room is unavailable" error on the screen. In this state, we are able to connect to a meeting, whether its joining one or creating/hosting one. After the meeting is ended, the screen returns to the error page.

We've reviewed logs from the Poly bar and found nothing significant, and we're running out of ideas.

Are we missing something?

Resolved! Zoom Room Settings

I need to set up the same settings for all of our Zoom Rooms. Can this be done 1x for all, or do I have to adjust the settings for each room individually? I am not able to add the room as a "group".

When setting up the displays in a Zoom Room running on a PC with 3 displays, I am forced to designate one display in each scene for Local HDMI sharing.  I don't have local HDMI sharing enabled, nor do I want to do this.  If I change the configuration to use a designated confidence monitor, the screen for HDMI sharing is removed from the display configuration without issue (but I don't want a confidence monitor).  If I change the configuration to use 2 displays, the requirement for local HDMI sharing ALSO goes away.  Why is this view mandated for a 3 display setup when there is no need for local HDMI sharing?  Where can I turn this off?  It seems like a bug in the administration pages for Zoom Rooms.  Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

I have Zoom Room apps runnning on Windows devices in French.  The Windows display language is set to French, and the Zoom Room app largely displays everything in French with this one exception.  When I launch an Instant Meeting from a NEAT pad (also french), and then close the meeting, the title of the scheduled meeting in the Zoom Room app is still "Instant Meeting".  Is there a language setting to modify this?

Hello,

Client A is already in the space and Client B is moving in soon.

I have been supporting Client A who has 3 Zoom Rooms with Logitech Rallybars. They are looking to sublease half of the office to Client B.

Client A would like to share the Zoom Rooms with Client B

Both organizations use Google Workspace.

Is there a way to allow both organizations to book out the conference room's?

How can you share Zoom Rooms in a shared space?

Hi Community,

We have a Cisco Room Kit with Room OS and having a lot of trouble getting the Zoom Connector API to function.

We have the required CRC license, API downloaded and installed and appears connected to the correct Cisco device IP but when we join an external Zoom meeting, it still requires a pairing code to be inputted, due to the host not having a CRC license) which to my understanding, the Room API Connector is meant to accommodate.

Your help is greatly appreciated to anyone that can assist.

Regards

I have a large number of Zoom rooms, several of which have a scheduling display outside (Neat Pad or similar).

A couple of these are lecture theatres and we'd like something larger which will show the upcoming meetings within the room (at the moment, administrative staff stick bits of paper on to doors which looks messy and is very 1997). We have a large screen on the wall that's powered by a standard PC. I've tried installing Zoom Rooms on this, to set it up as a scheduling display, but this option isn't available. Is this something which is solely available on the tablet version ~ is there any workaround that others have used?

Cheers -
