Resolved! Zoom Rooms Controller - different network

Is there a way to persistently connect (pair) a Zoom Rooms tablet controller to a Zoom Room on a different network?

If the tablet is on WiFi and on a different VLAN and subnet for example?

Thanks,

Rupert

Our boardroom Zoom Rooms system has been automatically updated to version 6.0.7 (4157) , 64bit. Since then, far end participants are unable to hear the people in the boardroom. We have a Crestron professional AV system with Zoom Rooms installed on Windows PC appliance (NUC). I had to manually downgrade to version 5.17.9 (3926) as downgrading from device management from Zoom portal does not have this version.

I opened a ticket with support (request # TS1273108), but they are just useless, so hoping can find a solution here.

We have been using DTEN Me boards for a few years now but lately they have become quite unreliable eg disconnecting microphones and cameras at random times. After much too-ing and fro-ing DTEN are saying that this is a feature to avoid having the turn the board off for updates or something. As we teach using them for many hours at a time this is not ideal. There don't seem to be any real alternatives though? Can anyone suggest something as an alternative to a DTEN Me board? We're super frustrated!

Hi! Sorry, I'm new to this community (forgive me if it's been already asked but I couldn't find a thread).

The person I work for has a zoom workplace pro account. We hold meetings with about 100 people. I looked and it said her account could have two devices logged in with that one account. I would like to be able to use her account with her on the call as well (since my zoom workplace pro is holding another meeting without me at the same time).  It would be much easier that trying to log in with an old account of mine that I keep having to jump through hoops to log into from since I never use it but when I have a mtg conflict. Thanks for any assistance or links that could answer my question. 🙏🏾

We have a Logitech Rally Bar connected to two LG TV monitors. Since the last Zoom software update on the Rally Bar, the second display is misaligned and smaller than the full screen size.

Zoom is set as the primary provider for the Rally Bar, but we also have Teams and Google Meet configured. When using Teams or Meet, the second display works perfectly, suggesting to us that the Zoom software is the source of of the issue. The primary (screen 1) is a 1080p LG monitor, and the second (screen 2) is a 4K LG monitor. Everything worked perfectly up until the last Zoom software update a few weeks ago.

We're reaching out to you today for our client, who is currently using Lifesize for video conferencing solutions in their meeting rooms. They are interested in exploring the possibility of transitioning to Zoom Rooms.

We understand that Reqwest offers expertise in both Zoom Rooms and Lifesize, and we would appreciate your help in comparing the two platforms to help our client make an informed decision.

Specifically, we are interested in information on the following aspects:

  • Feature Comparison: A detailed comparison of core features offered by both Zoom Rooms and Lifesize, highlighting key functionalities relevant to video conferencing needs. This could include aspects like screen sharing, whiteboarding, recording capabilities, and security features.
  • Cost Analysis: An estimated cost comparison for transitioning from Lifesize to Zoom Rooms. This could include potential savings or increased costs associated with hardware, software licenses, and ongoing support.
  • Migration Process: Information on the migration process involved in switching from Lifesize to Zoom Rooms. This could include details on data transfer, hardware compatibility, and user training requirements.

Additionally, we would like to understand the following:

  • Benefits of Zoom Rooms: Highlighting the key advantages of transitioning to Zoom Rooms, particularly for organizations currently using Lifesize.
  • Considerations for Our Client: Any specific considerations or potential challenges our client might face during the transition process, considering their current Lifesize setup.

We believe Zoom Rooms might offer a more user-friendly interface and potentially lower costs compared to Lifesize. However, we want to ensure a smooth transition and choose the platform that best suits our client's needs.

We would be grateful if you could provide us with detailed information on the above points. Additionally, if there are any resources or case studies available showcasing successful transitions from Lifesize to Zoom Rooms, we would be happy to review them.

We've recently installed a new meeting room using Yealink for Zoom Rooms. However, when we create a meeting, the "Start" button is missing from all my scheduled meetings on the Zoom Room controller.

Integration: Google Calendar (resource calendar NOT an individual account)

Status: Set up, and synced. Calendar added to Zoom Rooms account

What we do:

  1. When we create a meeting, we use Google Calendar, and add / invite the room in question.
  2. The room would automatically accept the invitation and it would add the meeting to the respective calendar.
  3. The meeting request shows on the Zoom Room controller, however, there is no option to "Start" the meeting. There appears to be no "Start" button

I have double checked all permissions, etc. I just cannot seem to get the "Start" button to appear. For now, I have enabled the same ID for each meeting, so we can at least create an instant meeting at the time of a scheduled meeting.

As this is a Zoom Room license, it's not licensed for a specific user, so I cannot send a meeting invite from this "user's" account, as there is none…. This is a resource calendar on my Google Admin portal, not an individual calendar.

I have read some of the other articles here and on other sites, but none seems to present a solution. All I can find is that the invited room needs to be the host to enable this "Start" button, but as yet I am unable to get this to work.

Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated…

Zoom room controller:  Yealink CTP18 137.320.0.50 (App ver. 5.16.5 (2354))

Zoom room platform: Yealink Meeting Bar A20 133.320.0.39 (App ver. 5.16.5 (3917))

Thanks in advance!
