Hello friends,

I have a bunch of digital displays that are strategically placed in public areas on my community college campuses. Right now I'm thinking of them as being digital bulletin board/campus map/which class in which room devices..

We have Yealink boxes on each.

I'd love to see some suggestions for how other folks might be using theirs like this.

Probably more importantly, I would love to know the easiest way to keep them updated with fresh info, most likely by staff members who are not super technical.

Specifically, is there a way to point a specific zoom room to a file in a Google drive for its content? I'm thinking the file would be a slide deck that my colleagues could open every morning and type in daily schedules/news/etc.?

  • are there any apps on the marketplace that make this kind of thing easy?

Thanks in advance. I'll try some things and post here if I come up with anything good!

Thanks any help that can be provided. Maybe I am doing something wrong - or maybe it is not possible? We are using a screen with Zoom rooms built in. Thank you

One of my Zoom Rooms generates a "Low bandwidth network is detected" warning message and email almost every time I start a meeting.

I've done a bunch of speed tests and never seen less than 200 MBps up or down and often MUCH higher. While there are two 4k cameras, the Zoom software is running on an i7-10700k PC so there should be plenty of processing power. I've checked network firewall logs and don't see anything getting blocked that shouldn't.

I haven't noticed any performance problems, but the messages are annoying.

None of my other Zoom rooms do this, but they are single camera.

How does Zoom determine that bandwidth is a problem? Are there any diagnostic tools?

See attached file. When in a call, the button to refresh the HTML page and the button to exit Room Controls are dangerously close. If an end user presses the refresh button during a meeting the refresh occurs causing an unacceptable disruption to the meeting experience. Please add a confirmation page allowing the user to back out if the refresh button is hit in error. Better yet add the refresh button to the Zoom portal since it does not appear to have any needed end user interaction. This is preventing the adoption of Crestron controls for Zoom in Micron's environment and preventing Level 3 from providing this capability to our other customers. Please feel free to contact me if additional information is needed.

We plan to fully use Zoom Rooms in the future and are curious if Scheduling Meetings on the Rooms (via the web) would reflect on Workspace Reservations. Our team typically schedules meetings via Admin < User Management < Users < searching for a dedicated account (Zoom Rooms in this case) < Schedule Meeting.

I have attempted this in which the meeting does show up in the physical room itself but does not showcase on the reservation page; the map states it's still open and available. On another note, we don't have Integrated Calendars for the rooms. We use the default Zoom Calendar Service that's generated per room, which looks like a mess of characters and numbers ending with our domain name.

Do we need to use an Integrated Calendar or is there a way around using what we already have except the meetings reflect via the web and the workspace reservations?

We have a Zoom Room with a Poly X52 and TC10 controller.  Our org uses roaming profiles and we have a PC running through the X52.  Anyone can log into the PC and bring their desktop to the PC.  When we are not on a Zoom call, we can share the PC content to the room display using the share content button on the TC10.  When on a live Zoom video call, the share content button puts the content into the meeting for all participants.

There are times when we need to be on a meeting and see content from the PC, but we don't want the PC content shared into the Zoom meeting.  There are also other times where having the dual monitor experience with shared content on 1 screen and participants on the other would be nice too.  If we ran dual monitors off of the X52, could we see local content from the PC not shared into a live call or does running it through the X52 Zoom Room automatically share content into the video meeting regardless?  I cannot find good documentation that would provide an answer.
