I've been using zoom with success on my chrome book until recently. Now it will work fine for a few minutes and then the incoming video will stop working. All the buttons remain clickable (for example i can scroll thru gallery view despite seeing no people in the little boxes)  and my video still is viewable by other participants (though the only place it is visible to me is in the video settings.) I have messed with just about everything setting I (and many other people) can think of to no avail.  I have used the app from the play store, chrome, and the pwa on both chrome and the app. I have factory reset my chrome book. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have restarted the computer. Zoom is working just fine for me on my ipad/phone but I hate the way the mobile app works... Please help!

Hi, I  have a regularly scheduled meeting for my Seattle (Pacific time) community. I am currently in Taiwan - 16 hour time difference and one day ahead. However, I've noticed that sometimes people join the meeting 24 hours late - after it is over. It seems like the software (Windows? Zoom? Google?)  is too smart for itself because even though the schedule clearly posts the meeting at 6pm Seattle time on Saturday, one of my community members reports that the meeting is posted as Sunday. How do I fix this and teach the program that my meeting is indeed on Saturday? Not Sunday.

I am having a problem with the microphone suddenly not working on a Zoom call, it used to work fine now it doesn’t. I’ve completed all the trouble-shooting tasks that Zoom suggest, and it works if I do a test, and it also work on other applications, so I know it’s not my device (IPad pro)  but its still not working. I can use headphones to use the microphone, but I don’t want to use headphones all the time. Can anyone help?

Greetings! When joining a meeting, Zoom will not allow me to use my default microphone. It automatically wants me to use my computer audio. I have checked all settings in the "Audio" section, and everything seems to work fine. I even ran the audio check, and I got the message that everything was working correctly. Regardless, Zoom only allows me to use my computer audio and not my default microphone. I have tried every single thing: checking Microsoft audio settings, uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom, etc. Noh

I'm running a big and important meeting next week that will require me to do some things on Zoom that I haven't done before, so I set up a dry-run this afternoon.  I set up a meeting with the same set-up as the big meeting next week and surrounded myself with my iPhone (which will be used for hosting), and then a Windows 11 desktop, a Windows 11 laptop, and an iPad, which would stand in for people joining the meeting.  I used the Zoom-generated passcode for the meeting and sent myself an email with the link to the meeting.  To my surprise, when I clicked the link from the desktop, laptop, and iPad, it requested that the meeting passcode be entered before it allowed me to join the meeting.  I confirmed that in my settings, the "Embed passcode in invite link for one-click join" is turned on, so I'm baffled as to why that happened, but I'm willing to assume that it was some sort of user error.

Here's the question:  I need to know whether the link for next week's meeting (which has already been sent out) is going to create a similar issue.  One way to check is to start next week's meeting now, and see what happens, and then I can leave the meeting, hopefully comfortable that the passcode won't be requested.  If I start the meeting today, and end it today, will the link for next week remain valid, or will the meeting be treated as ended, and thus not valid any longer?  Any other way for me to know for certain if that link will require people to put in the passcode?

Hi all,

We had a 3 hour meeting today that I had enabled to auto record as per below:

carlson1_0-1706916566813.png

When the meeting started, there was no "recording" banner showing, and the button on the room controller was greyed out.  What ended up having to do is join with my laptop and record the whole thing locally.  Am I missing something?  Is there another setting that would override this?

I haven't seen any indication the meeting was recorded in the cloud either.  There is nothing showing in Recording Management from today.

Thanks!
