I want to purchase a new iPad to use primarily for my frequent Zoom meetings. If I am hosting a Zoom meeting and have shared my screen, can I give Remote Control access for the screen?

 

The Zoom help seemed to make it sound that you cannot ask for or accept remote control if you JOIN a meeting with an iPad, but what if you HOST from an iPad? Can anyone confirm that I can indeed use an iPad to host, screen share and assign remote control?

STudents cannot join my regular meeting sessions via Zoom

This morning for the first time my students cannot use their passcode that they normally use to join my sessions. They do not even show up in the participant screen at all. On their end it shows that I am already in a meeting. I have more kids soon..... Show more

This morning for the first time my students cannot use their passcode that they normally use to join my sessions.  They do not even show up in the participant screen at all.  On their end it shows that I am already in a meeting.  I have more kids soon...anyone have some ideas?  Thanks!

Passcode not working for students

We have a regular passcode our students have been using to join meetings. Starting last week, which seemed to coincide this latest Zoom update, our students are struggling with the passcode.

They are entering it correctly, but it is not allowing SOME of them into the meeting. They are using the correct case. A few of them WERE able to get it after trying the passcode multiple times, while others missed the meeting entirely because it would not work for them. 

Any clues about what could be going on here, and how to alleviate this? It's a quite problematic to have students unable to join a regular call.

Filter & avatar effects suddenly not available

On my old laptop (hp, Windows 10), I used to be able to use the filter & avatar option with a pro account. I ended my subscription for about a year and then re-signed up for it recently. Now I'm running it on my Ryzen 5, and I do not have the filter & avatar effects anymore.

Customer support keeps saying that it's because of my region (Texas) but the thing is, my husband's account on his computer had it (same region, same internet provider). My work account also has it (same region). It's only my new computer that doesn't have it. It doesn't make sense.

Does a business account with 2 users allow both users to access, start, and record all meetings? My biz partner and I are booking through a calendar software that will generate the Zoom meeting but we aren't necessarily on all of the calls together so we would both need to access all meetings and sometimes the other partner will be in a different meeting at the same time. Is this possible sharing an account?

Error message when trying to add alternative host

Resolved! "Failed to create conference" Google Calendar

Issue: When the user attempts to a Zoom Meeting to her Google Calendar invite she gets the follow error: Failed to create conference. However, when she attempts to create meeting invite on her executives Google Calendar, she is able to without error.... Show more

OS: Windows 7

Steps taken:

Removed Zoom Calendar and Contact Integration,

Removed Google Workspace from Zoom Marketplace for user,

Signed user out of Zoom for G-Suite

Removed Zoom Third Party permissions from Google Account. 

We then went through the process of integrating Zoom and Google Workspace.

Issue still remains. Has anyone else experienced this issue and have a resolution?

Hi - I want to complain about my Zoom experience last week, July 2. I scheduled a meeting but I was having problems getting on my laptop and I have been locked out of my work iPhone. So I logged into my Zoom account via my personal Samsung phone. The problem is that Zoom wanted to send a confirmation email to Lotus Notes which I could not access as I am locked out of my iPhone and I could not get onto my laptop. So I missed an international Zoom meeting scheduled by me as Zoom is not flexible enough to send a confirmation text message to my Samsung phone allowing me access to my Zoom account! This ridgidness by Zoom is enfuriating. I consulted your support personnel and they were unable to grasp what I was trying to do. One help desk person wanted to connect me to Apple but before doing that I had to pay a fee!! This is not what I requested. I requested to access my Zoom account via my Samsung which should've sufficed and/or a text message should've been sent to my Samsung phone guaranteeing my access to my Zoom account. This issue needs to be changed by Zoom so customers have access to their Zoom account from any device they use.

How to access shared files after the meeting

Is it possible to access a shared file after the meeting?

 

I looked for it in my desktop in the Zoom folder, but the only file that I found was the chat. Is there any way to get this file?

Share Computer Audio to Breakout Rooms

Just curious, is there a way to only share computer audio to a breakout room, or do I have to share screen and audio if there's something I want participants to hear?Don't really have a use case scenario, more for documentation purposes?Thanks! Show more
