Hello All,

I use Zoom for work and have never had a problem before. I am connected to fibre wifi and although my ipad and phone take download speed readings of over 300, my laptop hovers around 45. But I have worked on less than that, so thought it would be ok. When connecting to Zoom, my clients video is really laggy and their sound is broken. It's super stressful.

I've zoomed myself using another laptop and the same thing happens. So I don't think my device is the problem.

I've tried connecting to the box with an ethernet cable and that doesn't seem to make a difference either.

I'm at a loss.  It's almost impossible to host a meeting with my clients and to screen share content.

Any ideas what I can do to help the situation?

Many thanks

In the documentation for advanced polling, it states the following:

  • All meeting participants must be on the supported version or higher, or they will not be able to see or participate in an advanced poll or quiz. If unable to update to the minimum version, we recommend joining through the web client.

Am I then to believe that if a participant is not logged into Zoom app version 5.8.3 or better,  they cannot see or participate in the advanced poll at all, even if the questions are just single or multiple choice (The original basic questions).   Does the participant receive a message stating they can't see the poll?  Does the host?  If joining though a web client, do they see it then?  Are there limitations to joining this way regarding polls?

Thank You,

KJH

After updating Zoom yesterday, it became totally inoperable.

I can login via my university account, plan meetings, navigate the top bar and set my availability, but I CAN'T start or join any meetings or even open the settings (neither from the program nor the taskbar app menu). With all options I only get the windows "blue waiting circle of hell" and the possibility to send an error report, nothing more.

Reinstalled twice, running the 64bit version on an updated Windows 10 Pro (64 bit, 21H1, 19043.1387), tried running as admin, deactivated firewall...

Unplugging the webcam doesn't help either, other programs (Teams, Discord, Skype etc.) work fine.

Neither a different account, updating graphics or chipset drivers to the latest available and even the bios (not that I would think that to be connected to the problem) nor everything else I can think of helped.

Zoom runs fine on my laptop in the same network.

Open to suggestions! Is it maybe possible to roll back to an older Version of the client to try that?

PS: Some system specs in case they might be helpful:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO V2 (Bios F14e)

EVGA RTX 2070 XC GAMING

32 GB DDR4 SDRAM

Participant limit

If 100 people are already in the meeting and others try to join, will they still be able to come into the waiting room or won't that be possible?

Hi,
I recently bought a TVBox X88 Pro 10.
It has Android 11, 4GB RAM and 64ROM and is compatible with OpenGL 2.0.
My webcam is a Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 with built-in microphone.
I'm using the webcam with the Skype app and it works fine.
When using Zoom, the TVBox recognizes the webcam, but when I start a meeting the webcam doesn't work and the whole screen turns green. I tried with a Logitech camera and the same thing happens.
Is there any way to solve this?
Thanks
