Zoom totally inoperable on Windows 10

After updating Zoom yesterday, it became totally inoperable.

I can login via my university account, plan meetings, navigate the top bar and set my availability, but I CAN'T start or join any meetings or even open the settings (neither from the program nor the taskbar app menu). With all options I only get the windows "blue waiting circle of hell" and the possibility to send an error report, nothing more.

Reinstalled twice, running the 64bit version on an updated Windows 10 Pro (64 bit, 21H1, 19043.1387), tried running as admin, deactivated firewall...

Unplugging the webcam doesn't help either, other programs (Teams, Discord, Skype etc.) work fine.

Neither a different account, updating graphics or chipset drivers to the latest available and even the bios (not that I would think that to be connected to the problem) nor everything else I can think of helped.

Zoom runs fine on my laptop in the same network.

Open to suggestions! Is it maybe possible to roll back to an older Version of the client to try that?

PS: Some system specs in case they might be helpful:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO V2 (Bios F14e)

EVGA RTX 2070 XC GAMING

32 GB DDR4 SDRAM
