On my iPad I have no issues letting clients into a zoom meeting from the waiting room. They show up as soon as they log in and I simply click 'admit' to let them in.

I have, however had some issues when hosting a meeting using my laptop. I have a client who has been able to use the link/ and or passcode to log into my zoom meetings for the past 3 weeks with no problems.

When using zoom on my laptop I usually receive an email when the client has logged into zoom and is in the waiting room. I click on the blue 'start meeting' button in the email; this brings me to a zoom webpage with a blue 'launch meeting' button that I click on. Once I have gone through this process my client shows up in the waiting room and I am able to 'admit' them to the meeting. I start the meeting this way on my laptop because the client does not show up in my zoom waiting room when I have started the meeting prior to their arrival. If I do start the meeting prior my client's arrival,  my client gets a messsage saying that I am in another meeting and they do not appear in my waiting room in the meeting - no notification either apart from an email to my email address.

Today my client logged in and I received no email to notify me of my client's arrival into my waiting room. Due to the usual process I use for laptop zoom meetings I could not 'admit' them into the meeting with no email sent to me. They sent an image showing that they were in the waiting room. I did not know how to solve this issue and therefore had to cancel the meeting. Is there something I can do to make sure that my client is visible in my waiting room straight away (when using my laptop).

My clients log in via my general zoom link or via my general meeting ID and passcode.

I would be grateful for any help or advice.

Thank you

Retrieving Registrants Information

Hello everyone!

I held a meeting with registrations, but I did not save the registrants information. Now that the meeting is past; is there a way to retrieve this information to connect with the registrants again?

Thanks,

Can someone please tell me what is causing this problem and what I need to do to fix it?

First off, hello everyone (this is my 1st post here)!

Since yesterday, I have been facing the following problem:

I access Zoom via SSO (account through my university, RUB in Bochum, Germany).

Now, I can only login on a "sporadic basis": Quite often,  I get the error "you cannot connect, please check your network and try again".

However, my network-connection seems to be fine: I can access the www, emails etc. all up and running well - it is just Zoom that can't seem to connect.

FYI, I run a Macbook Pro (Mojave 10.14.6) via WLAN (Fritzbox 7360).

Since am dependent on Zoom working for my studies, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all in advance for your input!

My wife and I work on separate computers.  I have a paid zoom subscription, she does not.  Recently, we both received a meeting invite from an outside source and wanted to attend the same meeting.  WIth the full featured zoom app (which is installed on both of our machines) it would only let ONE of us log in at a time.  I tried to use the web client option using Chrome browser, but it always wanted to default to the installed zoom app, and bounced me off.  We just want to be able to go back to using the free web client, so how do we work around this?  I do not want to un-install the app. form our machines though.

I know how to create a meeting as host, how to add it to outlook (or calendar), etc.  I do not need help with this part.

However if you create an upcoming meeting, say for next week, then send me just the meeting link or joining details by text or email, what is the best way for me to add this to my diary? Assume there is no ics etc sent by you, the meeting originator.

I am happy to manually enter the day, time, topic for your meting into my outlook calendar but want to know how to cut /paste or whatever the upcoming zoom meeting details and link so I can later just click it from calendar to join without having to go back and find the original email invite.

When i click the zoom option in outlook when adding an appointment, it automatically creates a meeting with me as the host and my zoom code not allowing me to add your meeting details that you supplied.

thanks for your help

Has anyone experienced starting a meeting, only to have your zoom window freeze and spontaneously close as soon as a guest joins the meeting. One window opens offering to share feedback with Zoom and then another opens and puts me back in the meeting, As long as I stop my video the meeting continues without interruption. I have video on for others with no negative impact. I have followed suggestions to update drivers, update Zoom, update Chrome. It doesn't happen for every meeting which makes it even harder to understand. Thanks for any insight you can share!
