The new 40 minute meeting limitation with 2 participants is an understandable thing to do. However, with my situation, it's a bit annoying. I am currently paying for a Pro license that my wife uses more often than I. From time to time, I need to make a Zoom call that lasts for more than 40 minutes.

The times that we need to use Zoom are always different. She uses Zoom early in the mornings and I use it later in the afternoon.

Feature Request: Instead of assigning the Pro license to an user, I think it would make more sense to have Floating Licenses. We would have one license in a "pool", when one of us starts a meeting, we can opt to use one of the available Pro licenses.  If we schedule a meeting that is more than 30 minutes, it can reserve the Pro license. There is no need to go into the user management and change someone from Pro to Basic and the other person from Basic to Pro.

This practice is pretty common in other industries. For example, AutoDesk AutoCAD has a perpetual license that you can buy for each computer. Or, you can buy a floating license that would allow an Engineer to grab the license when they launch AutoCAD. If I have 15 engineers and 10 licenses then 10 of them can be using the full version concurrently.

I am new to setting up meetings using zoom. I want to record audio files on separate tracks to be used for podcast editing. When I try to save the setting to enable it, I am being told that I cannot save the new settings as it is saying, "not logged in". Does it mean I am not logged into zoom or the cloud? If the cloud, how do I do so?

Pro Account Time Limit work around

How can I work around the Pro Account 40 minute time limit without upgrading to a $1999.99 per year subscription for 10 users/licenses as I only need one user/license but want to be able to schedule 2 hour meetings.

Just had my laptop reset as I had problems.  I now find I can sign into zoom but when I click on the meeting I want to open, it just goes to "launch meeting" which I don't normally have to do.  But I've clicked on that and nothing happening.  It must be the laptop because no problems on my work laptop.

How do I reset this?  I've tried signing in and out.  Thanks in advance for any help.

The title pretty much describes it. At seemingly random times while I am browsing in Firefox my Zoom desktop application will start and show the message

Invalid meeting ID

Please check and try again.

Simultaneously, a new tab will automatically open to my organization's authentication web page. Something seems to be trying to start a non-existent Zoom meeting, but I have no idea what or why. I am not signed into Zoom, Zoom was not running in the background, I have the setting "Start Zoom when I start Windows" unchecked, and I have no scheduled upcoming meetings at the moment.

I have googled every combination of terms I can think of, but the only potentially relevant item I found was a question from 2017 on Mozilla's support site:

JimWilliams

Every time I open Firefox it opens a nonexistent Zoom Meeting where it tells me the host has not joined the meeting -- takes too much time. Help!stain removel

There is no reason I can find that a Zoom Meeting window opens every time I open Firefox -- I even signed up for Zoom so I could make sure it didn't show I had any meetings scheduled recurring or otherwise. But having done that and rebooted -- a Zoom Meeting window opens asking me to join a nonexistent recurring meeting where it indicates it is waiting for the host to initiate the meeting. Takes forever (it seems). How can I end this problem?

In Firefox 56 and earlier, with the old "new tab page," sometimes a tile from history would trigger an odd behavior such a message that Firefox wanted to launch a different application. The approach to that was to remove any tiles that might trigger the unwanted behavior. I don't know if that is an issue with the new "Activity Stream" page, or whether you have that page as your home page.

Example old thread: Why does another application launch when I open a new tab? Plug-in is in Firefox and I can't get ride of it.

This question seems to match my own, but the reply blames an old version of Firefox (I am using Firefox 102.0.1) and the new-tab page (which I don't think I had open when this problem occurred). However, based on the thread's suggestion, I deleted every page from my browser history containing the term "zoom" and I'll wait to see if doing so resolved the bug.

(P.S. I apologize to the mods for the zoom-sdk tag. I can't find an existing tag relating to general Zoom questions. Please feel free to edit if you have better tag ideas.)

Greetings,

I used zoom for several months without problem. However, when I tired to use zoom this morning to have a meeting with my students, zoom started not working.

When I clicked the zoom icon on my desktop, it didn't show anything and the zoom didn't opened. So, I uninstalled zoom and reinstalled the zoom from zoom download center, but still not working. I've tried to use web browser to create the zoom meeting, but few minutes after I started the meeting the zoom automatically ends the meeting and restart the meeting. This happens so many times.

I check my internet connection for just in case, but there is no problem with my internet and camera and microphone work well.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
