We have a few "levels" of clients. We provide educational "zoom rooms" for them where an outside presenter is brought in and presents for about an hour once a month. We would like to open up a VIP room for our "upper level" clients. The VIP room would be a place for the "upper level clients" to interact with the presenter (and each other) either before or after the "all client zoom room presentation." Is there a way to do this in zoom? Essentially we want to open up a VIP room for our upper level clients. Thoughts?? Thanks!

Stop Automatic Updates

I'm running Zoom 5.11.1 (6602) on Windows 10 Enterprise. A couple of times it's happened that when I try to start a Zoom meeting, I'm delayed while the Zoom client updates.How can I prevent this and control when it happens?I've checked Help and found... Show more

I'm running Zoom 5.11.1 (6602) on Windows 10 Enterprise. A couple of times it's happened that when I try to start a Zoom meeting, I'm delayed while the Zoom client updates.

How can I prevent this and control when it happens?

I've checked Help and found instructions telling me that there's a Zoom updates section in Settings/General, but there is no such section or setting (at least for me).

I recorded a meeting (approx 3 hrs length) two days ago (16 July 2022) and it has been stuck in "processing recording" ever since then. 

I record many meetings, and this has never happened before.

Any advice would be much appreciated, this meeting is very important recording.

A friend of mine accidentally set his phone number as the authentication method for my Zoom account. But now I can't contact him. The Gmail account and the Zoom account are both mine. Currently I can't login because there is no code.
So is there any way I can delete his phone number

Resolved! Zoom 5.10.4 Linux client does not start

I downloaded the Linux client for 5.10.4 (2845) tarball and unpacked it. However, running ZoomLauncher does not do anything. It does not show any windows, no error messages, no logs, nothing, it just exits silently without any clue as to what the pro... Show more

I downloaded the Linux client for 5.10.4 (2845) tarball and unpacked it. However, running ZoomLauncher does not do anything. It does not show any windows, no error messages, no logs, nothing, it just exits silently without any clue as to what the problem is.  Running `zoom` or `zopen` directly doesn't work because it can't find the right shared libraries.

 

In previous versions (5.9.x and earlier) running ZoomLauncher was enough to launch the zoom client.

Cloud Recording

I recorded the meeting 2 days ago. And it is still showing "Processing Recording..."

This is an normal lenght of the video, which is 3 hours, that I have recorded previously. 

Can anybody give an advice?

Impossible to launch the sub-groups discussions I've programmed in advance

I've programmed several times my sub-groups composition in advance (via the website in the advanced option, entering each e-mail adress in each rooms and when I launch the break-up groups not only the rooms I've created don't oppen but moreover , even if I close all the rooms I can't use the automatic dispatch anymore which is really a nuisance !!! As anyone met this problem before and can explain how to avoid that... truly if this can't be fixed I move to Teams...as this is one of the major point of difference with Zoom (but if it doesn"t work then why bother ?)

Thanks in advance for your help (ideally in French as I'm on the French Zoom version but I can manage with ENglish hopefully...

Description/Error

We allow participants to join meetings via the web client, i.e. via subdomain.zoom.us/wc/join/... Most of the time participants do not actively "Leave" a meeting but simply close the tab of their browser. While their audio and video naturally does not get transmitted anymore, they are still displayed as a participant in the call. For several obvious reasons that is an issue:

  • Network issues might cause the participant to drop out and re-enter resulting in duplicated participant
  • Faulty participant tracking
  • Difficult to tell if participants left or have issues with their audio/video

How To Reproduce (If applicable)
Create meeting. Enter via web client and as host via desktop app. Close browser tab. Observe that participant is still part of the meeting.

Dial in phone number?

I need a dial-in phone number to my meeting, as has always been a part of the set up in the past. I didn't renew my subscription so I'm suing the free option. Can I add a dial-in number for my members who do not have smart phones?
