Hello,

I'm currently deploying the zoom msi and cannot find an option to auto populate this option. Is this even possible via the MSI or must I join a meeting to first set it? Currently disabling all login options, as the end use will join as guest. Was hoping to set it to the hostname of the device. It currently sets it to the name of the user account that is running zoom.

thanks!

For decades, there is a basic feature in any chat application to trace and track the chat history; along with the preferred usage storage location locally. In zoom , struggling to find those settings; also there is no provision to contact technical team; the tech support throws you in a crowd and you have to rummage through.

Chat historty and preferred local location is a MUST have feature in any chat/meeting application.

Feature Request: Allow Different Password For Zoom

For a tighter security measure, please give the option to have a separate password sign-in, even if one has an SSO, Gmail, or Facebook. This will make a separate measure in case someone else's email account got phished.

I've been looking for this exact question, but can't find it or at least one that I think works. I would like to set up Zoom audio so that it does not suppress other microphones when one person is talking, or, at least allows as much sound as possible without feedback (ideally without headphones - but maybe it's only possible with headphones).

You might wonder why since it goes against the "one person speaking at a time" approach of a typical meeting. But some applications are: for people to be able to responsively read text together (like in a liturgy or drama), or to sing together, or simply to allow more natural noise to happen when the main person is talking. It's quite unnatural feeling to hear complete silence in a classroom. However, you also don't want the main speaker to get interrupted every time someone coughs or knocks their mic.

The best I've found is to:

  • Set Suppress background noise to "Low"
  • enable "High fidelity music mode"
  • turn off "echo cancellation"

Am I missing anything? Thoughts for anyone else who has tried any of the applications above?

Thanks!

Jason

Hi, I have intergrated Zoom with Moodle using the Zoom API and successfully tested a small meeting.

I have a Zoom paid account with 100 unlicensed users and 5 licensed.

On Moodle when we create a Zoom meeting it uses the email account of the person signed into Moodle, which in most cases is the same email address as an unlicensed Zoom user.

If we do this, does the meeting have the unlicensed limitations?

I am involved in a strata committee here in Sydney Australia.  We have an issue with unwanted people obtaining the meeting login data and accessing the meeting. We would like to find the source.

I have been reading up on this matter and realise that we can eject/block  people controlled by the host. Various options available here, including block by email, IP, etc.  Does this work if the Outlook plug in is not installed?

Can you assist in first of these matters?

Thank you in advance.
