Based on the thread below, this is expected behavior, but it it seems to me that users should have a choice. I would prefer there to be an option that Zoom, like the vast majority of Windows programs, only go full screen to the point where the taskbar starts. Instead, it covers the taskbar, which makes multitasking during Zoom calls to be incredibly painful. Windows 10 does not show the taskbar area, volume, and notifications area on anything but the main monitor. So if I want to have my Zoom meetings fullscreen on my primary monitor (where my camera is also located), I have to switch Zoom to windowed mode just to access the aforementioned areas on the taskbar.
Is there any way around this, or am I forced to keep Zoom in windowed mode?

Today, I was taking class and I had to share screen (a video) from my tablet. When I started sharing the video, and pressed play, automatically, I couldn't hear the other participants anymore, which is a a problem because my teacher was talking, but I couldn't hear a thing or take notes. How can I solve this?, how can I be able to share a video from my tablet, but still hearing other participants? I hope you can help me. Thanks

Using macOS Monterey 12.3.1 and Zoom 5.10.1. Using a mic plugged into the mac works fine and identified in both mac sound settings and in Zoom audio dropdown. It works for about 1 second, then switches to the built in mac microphone, but no change shown Zoom's drop down. Latest Mac update might have trigger this problem. Bottom line, can't use any external mic source at all anymore.

I am scheduling lots of Zoom’s and am, therefore, using both accounts under our login - one under our main account and then the other under a different name. We have an issue with the second one. We have to log in from the account settings in order for all those meetings to start. How can we fix this?

I noticed that Apple Mail's "search" feature can find the Beginning (or Entirety) of a string of non-punctuation characters within a zoom link in an email. It cannot find the Middles or Ends. E.g. if the link (in this made-up example) is: …..zoom.us/j/83359956229?pwd=aXMpN0X6M6EvL2tUH1B5V2lvMkh2KF09 THEN: It can find “83359956229” and “8335” but not “9956” or “6229” Likewise it can find “aXMpN0X6M6EvL2tUH1B5V2lvMkh2KF09” and “aXMp” but not “UH1B” or “KF09” Why would this be?

Hello, During my Zoom meetings, my microphone will be detected successfully at the beginning (I use an external headset that I plug into the audio jack). I have been using it for several months now with no problems, but within the last week during meetings, it will randomly not detect my microphone after others speak during the meeting (it will not change my microphone settings or show me as muted). I will have to literally switch from external microphone to same as system then back to external microphone during the meeting and it will detect me for some time. It will randomly not detect my audio randomly again during the meeting, usually after someone else talks. I have Windows 10 Enterprise and I do have automatic updates that occur, but this is greatly affecting my ability to lead meetings and I had to call in the past few times, which as been frustrating.

I've just noticed that when I close the Zoom app (i.e. close the window) it doesn't stop the app. Instead it minimises the app so it's still running in the background. You have to additionally right-click the icon to close the app. How can I change the default setting so that when I close Zoom, it stops the app altogether? I see an option to 'Start Zoom when I start Windows' (which is unchecked) and 'When closed, minimise window to the notification area'. I can't find an option to say that I don't want Zoom running in the background. Is this a change they made recently?
