Adding an Alternative Host to a scheduled meeting

Good morning,

I want to edit an already scheduled recurring meeting and wants to add an alternate host (invitation link has already been sent).

 

Do I have to resend the invitation link to all participants or not?

I have a problem with my video. When I'm in a zoom metting, my camera is on (a little light turns on beside it to tell me it's on), but my screen is just black, even when the video is activated. I tried to check in the confidentiality paremeters of zoom on my laptop (HP, windows 11), and it says that zoom can use my camera. I checked in the zoom parameters to see if it really takes the camera of my laptop as the output for the video, and it does. I even checked the applications that can use my camera in Kaspersy, and zoom can. I don't know what to do. And my camera is not brocken because I can use it in other applications and it works perfectly. It's just zoom that seems to just display a black screen, for some reason.

Here is a screen of the parameters in zoom, where it shows my video:

Resolved! Zoom hangs when stopping video or going into a breakout room etc.

For the past month or so my zoom on different computers even is hanging pretty much every time I get on a meeting now. It hangs when I try to stop or start my video, it hangs when I try to go into a breakout room, it hangs when I try to come out of a breakout room. I'm attaching the stackshot from just a little while ago. It's making using zoom very difficult and I use it all the time. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

Add names to the Invite panel

When I invite people to a zoom meeting, I click Invite and then I see a panel with some names. I see 8 names, not always the same. My colleague just checked, and she sees 12 names. The person I talk most often with is not among those 8. I have to typ... Show more

When I invite people to a zoom meeting, I click Invite and then I see a panel with some names. I see 8 names, not always the same. My colleague just checked, and she sees 12 names. The person I talk most often with is not among those 8. I have to type the name in the search to get to his name and it's a common name, so it takes some time to get him. I would like to know how I can control the names on this panel. Can I add someone permanently? 

Our tech support told me to add h8im to the 'Contacts' on zoom, I did, but he still does not show on the Invite pop-up. 

Does someone know how to do that?  (see attached image)

I use Zoom through my iPad and find it very uncomfortable that the control panel of the conference is at the top, because when you turn off the video you have to stick your fingers into the camera in front of all the participants. Please tell me, is it possible to move the control panel from top to bottom?

Breakout rooms opening automatically

While one co host is still creating/ assigning participants , breakout rooms are opening by itself with Nil participant in the room and all unassigned participants above. When close rooms option is chosen everything starts from start.

hi, 

is there any way to host a meeting that all the participated see me (the host) but cannot see each other?

meaning that they can't talk (just right) and can't be seen (and they are keeping their anonycity)

Zoom in China

Until recently I was having a weekly zoom meeting with my grandchildren in China.  Now  my son tells me that he can no longer access zoom.   As an ESL  teacher  I have heard from other teachers that  their clients in CHina can no longer use ZOOM.  On the other hand, others say that  ZOOM  is  still working well in China.

On line I found an article in   Sapore di Cina, Traveling in Asia, indicating that  Zoom has been restricted in China for some time unless you are using a VPN.

Can anyone clarify this for me?    I would like to continue holding zoom meetings with family and friends in China.

Zoom app window won't stay where I put it.

I'm using the Zoom desktop app for Linux, and whenever I switch to another workspace, the Zoom window shrinks and follows me to the other workspace. How can I make the window stay where I put it? Thanks.
