Changing my microphone crashes Zoom

I have just purchased a new microphone Shure MV7.  When I load Zoom it defaults to my internal iMac microphone. When I go to system preferences and change it to the Shure microphone Zoom crashes. 

 

I have updated my software, updated the microphone software, ensured that zoom has permission to access microphone, rebooted Zoom, tested the microphone with USB and USB-c input, tested the mic in other application including Google Meetings to ensure that it's working, searched the database for similar problems and nothing solves the problem. 

 

Any other ideas???

I use Windows 11 on my Desktop

Zoom prompted me to update softwware today (Aug 9, 2023) - so I did. I've NEVER had the problems I experienced after the uppdate:
1 - Extremely slow ( like 3-4 minutes) before initial Launch screen showed up.

2 - Iniatial launch window showed my video would be 'on' - when I got into the meeting my video was off.

3 - When I tried to start my video - entire screen greyed out. I was able to see the speaker and hear the audio - but was unable to chat - or do anything else. Eventually (4 minutes approx) - the 'greyed out' screen returned to normal - but I still was not able to get MY video to work.

4 - I figured I'd delete Zoom from PC and reload software - when I tried the uninstall failed. 

So I'm looking for suggestions - or for Zoom to scrap this update and return to functioning version.

Audio tested good in Zoom but doesn't work

I have a Ploy BT600 headset that used to work fine with Zoom. Now it tested good but I can't hear anyone and no one can hear me. It is not muted. The headset works on other platforms. I tried uninstalling and installing zoom, same with the headset, I checked for updates for the headset...still nothing 
 
 
Update: I decided to try using my webcam on my laptop instead of the external webcam and now my audio is working....Not sure why that makes a difference but at least I got it to work. Thanks! 🙂

Closed Caption Window Size

The ability to change the font size of live closed captions is nice, but badly hampered by the inability to resize the caption window. Increasing the font size decreases the amount of visible text to the point of making it hard to follow. I can drag ... Show more

The ability to change the font size of live closed captions is nice, but badly hampered by the inability to resize the caption window. Increasing the font size decreases the amount of visible text to the point of making it hard to follow. I can drag the caption window around; is there any way to resize it? If not, where do I go to log a feature request? 🙂

Zoom Link not Pasting

Help please! Why am I not able to paste the meeting link in my emails on my Mac Book Pro? Was working fine until a month ago. Does anyone have suggestions??

How can I remove the extra pic in virtual background in mobile device?

I've browsed thru all the related articles in terms of virtual background setting up, but all the suggested resolutions I found were to manage those settings in web portal, which I thought only works for pics that had been uploaded from laptop.

 

My question is I uploaded independent pics from my Samsung S20 mobile device, and those pics are not shown in the admin page of web portal, so I can only manage these pics thru the device. However, I think in mobile setting, there are only "add" pics, but no "delete" function for this standalone management. So I had uploaded duplicates image yet unable to remove those unnecessary ones.

 

Not sure if this is a bug, hope the technical team could advise the resolution. Thank you!

Hello! I am trying to share my screen (to show a "starting soon" slide 15 minutes before my zoom) AND share my audio so participants can hear music while they are viewing my powerpoint slide and countdown clock.

How can I "share" both so they can hear the audio? Whenever I share my screen to show the powerpoint slide the audio goes almost quiet.

Ich, eine verzweifelte Mitarbeiterin, die gleich den PC aus dem Fenster wirft, bittet dringend um Hilfe, da wir morgen ein wichtiges Business Meeting haben 😄

 

Hier ist das Problem:

Wir können uns partout nicht mehr einloggen - gesperrt?

Niemand hat Zugriff darauf, auch der Chef nicht, da er die Google-Verknüpfung in Zoom als Anmeldeoption blockiert hat. Auch wir als Admins haben keinen Zugriff, da es mit der Google-Anmeldung verknüpft ist.

Wenn wir versuchen, ein Passwort zu erstellen oder zurückzusetzen, werden wir aufgefordert, uns über Google anzumelden.

 

Vorgang:

Das Zoom-Konto, um das es geht, war mit Google verknüpft, und daher wurde IMMER über Google angemeldet.

Jetzt möchte mein Chef die Google-Verknüpfung doch nicht mehr haben. Also haben wir die Verknüpfung in Google gelöscht (https://myaccount.google.com/connections).

Leider habe ich keine Möglichkeit gefunden, die Verknüpfung direkt in Zoom zu löschen.

Es wurde für diese E-Mail-Adresse kein separates Passwort hinterlegt, da die Anmeldung immer automatisch über Google erfolgte. Jetzt hat der Chef in den Einstellungen festgelegt, dass keine Anmeldung über Google, Facebook und Co. mehr möglich ist in Zoom.

 

Mein Gedanke war dann, das Passwort zurückzusetzen. Aber das funktioniert nicht, weil wir diese E-Mail erhalten: "Anhand unserer Unterlagen zur Anmeldung mit Google, die Schaltfläche unten anklicken, dann Anmelden mit Google auswählen". Wenn wir darauf klicken, öffnet sich ein Fenster mit der Meldung: "Anmeldung bei Ihrem Zoom-Konto ist mit dieser Methode nicht möglich. Kontaktieren Sie Ihren IT-Administrator für Anweisungen (Fehlercode 2.025)".

 

Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir hier helfen , wie wir ganz normal auf die alte Weise uns über email und password anmelden können ohne Google Verknüpfung 🙈

P.S.: Aufgrund unseres Zooms Plans haben wir keinen Support-Helpdesk zur Verfügung.

When I give a PowerPoint presentation, I use Presenter View so that I can see my notes and upcoming slides.  (I click ShareScreen, then I click Advanced and then Portion of Screen).  However, sometimes the Zoom link I've been sent does not accommodate this - and the ShareScreen, Advanced doesn't have the Portion of Screen option and I cannot use Presenter View - how can I fix this?  Does the person sending the inadequate Zoom link need to change something in their settings?  Thanks!
