After two years of using Zoom for multiple kinds of meetings without problems, suddenly last Sunday, Aug. 29, two anomalies arose:

 

• Recording of meeting began automatically without my ever having clicked for automatic recording (in fact, I cannot find an automatic recording activation button where another website said it would be!).

 

• Zoom participants could see me but not hear me.  On my end, Mac internal microphone was fully activated, but when I tried Join Audio all that came up was a window I'd never seen before that provided only Phone & some numbers to use for doing audio via phone.

 

Retrying since then has produced same results.  I've deleted & reinstalled Zoom (5.7.6).  I'm on Mac OS 11.5.2, so everything's up to date.   Help!

I was on a meeting recently where the host assured me that the meeting wasn't being live streamed even though the live streaming pop-up was visible. I didn't click on the "got it" button and only spoke for a few minutes, but how would I find out if the host did in fact live stream it somewhere?

Is there a way to customize the in-meeting controls bar at the bottom of the screen?  For example, I'd like to remove the AI Companion, Emojis, Summary, etc, buttons.  It's starting to get very distracting and when it's so crowded, it makes it difficult to find the buttons you need.

Hi everyone, 

 

I am using my institute-managed MS Outlook account to create Zoom meeting invites and sending them to external Gmail accounts. However, I have noticed that the recipients receive the invite at a different time than the one I have scheduled.

 

For instance, I sent a Zoom meeting invite through Outlook for 2:00 pm on 07/03/2023, but the recipient using Gmail received it for 3:00 am on 07/03/2023. This is not an isolated incident as I have encountered this problem with all the invites sent to Gmail accounts.

 

I have checked the time zones on both ends, and we are in the same time zone. Have you experienced a similar issue before?

Hi, I've recently encountered a problem with annotations. I use them for brainstorming with my students, and then send my students into breakout rooms to discuss the topic further using those annotations we made. Now when I try to share my screen with those in the breakout rooms (being in the main room myself), all the annotations disappear. And this didn't use to be the case earlier. Seems that one of the last updates ruined this for me.

 

Is there anything that can be done for annotations not to be erased when resharing?
